Most women imagine Angelo Sorrentino as rich, handsome, and confident, except Emily Rosette.

Emily soon learns that being known as "Mrs. Sorrentino" comes with both its perks and dangers. She is now tasked with protecting her fake husband, Angelo, at all costs from the people closest to him. The world of the rich is proving to be bigger than what Emily had thought it to be, proving once again that not all that glitters is gold.

Angelo and Emily sat at the dinner table that evening and ate their food in utter silence. Emily had been so preoccupied with the happenings of the day that all she could feel was a deep sinking feeling in her stomach; something was definitely not right, and she could feel it.

She turned her head just as Angelo's cutlery touched his plate. Emily had seen on television what happened, but she could not gather up the strength to ask him the question that had been burning for so long.

"It's okay, you can ask me what is going on; I promise I will not be upset," he told her calmly, and Angelo's response was the perfect go-ahead that Emily needed. She had been struggling the entire afternoon with how to approach him and hopefully give him some words of encouragement; there was no doubt in her mind that he was truly going through a lot.
