Season 3 Chapter 2

It was getting late, I picked up my speed so that I can return before it's evening, I brought some fruits from the supermarket and took a chance to memorize the locality. I was nearby a football ground, when I noticed few teenager guys surrounding someone, there was soft crying sound while these boys mocked the person and laughed loudly. I stood behind them out of curiosity as I grabbed one of the guy from the back and yanked him away, he fell on the grass with a thud feeling confused regarding the situation. His friends stares at me for a second before going to help their friend to stand up. I blinked glancing at the crying person, it was a boy around my age, brown hair with golden eyes, white skin, tall, yet his face looked fragile, his eyes were filled with tears, he was on his knees curled up covering his head.

Thomas: Please stop….I promise I won't come here to play again. (He cries as more tears roll down from his eyes)

Me: (I felt awkward and stiff, I was already bad with handling emotions, and this was the first time I have seen any men cry other than Louis and my brothers, wait….I don't know any other men except for them, oh there is Gouenji but then again he was a crybaby as a kid) Uhm….(I took out my handkerchief and put it in front of his face) Are you hurt anywhere?

Thomas: (he looked at me as his golden eyes sparkled under the sun, he gets flustered and grabs the handkerchief wiping his swollen eyes) I-I am fine….gosh this is embarrassing….(I noticed his palms were bleeding due to scratches, I wondered if they pushed him down which caused him to get injured)

Me: Is it hurting? (I pointed at the injury)

Thomas: Oh…no….it's fine. (He glances at his palm) This doesn't hurt more than their words. (He gives out an awkward smile)

Guy 1 : Hey! Are you gonna ignore us? (I turned back to face them) Listen, whoever you are, its better not to come in between others' problems. (He says while he supports his friend to stand up)

Me: (I stared at him feeling bored then took out my shoe and threw it at his face with all my strength) Die Bullies!!!! (He gets knocked out, his face turns red and swollen) who is next? (I started taking off my other shoe but sadly they all ran away at top speed)

Thomas: T-Thank you….(he says while feeling flustered) I am sorry for showing my ugly side…. (He starts tearing up again) I-I actually don't want to cry….am sorry…..

Me: (I sighed sitting beside him) Why do you think you are showing your ugly side? (I rolled my eyes) I mean, crying in front of strangers does make you seem vulnerable but I don't think that's ugly? (I felt confused)

Thomas: N-No not that….(he sighed while wiping off his tears) my father says that a man shouldn't cry, crying is for women. I always get mocked at for being open about my feelings….I swear I didn't start crying because they pushed me down….I just feel lonely and isolated….I just wanted to make friends…(he hugs himself as if trying to protect his emotions)

Me: I don't understand…are you talking about biology? There has been studies done showing that men tear gland are larger than women and our tear ducts looks different so they say that women are biologically wired to shed more tears than men, though I haven't conducted the research so I can't show you any proof incase you want one, but yes it is an interesting study. (I said while thinking that the human body is really interesting) but that doesn't mean men can't cry, it just means your tear formation is less than women.

Thomas: (he sighed) I said, men 'shouldn't' cry not that men 'cannot' cry. (He facepalmed)

Me: Why men shouldn't cry? That's what confusing me. I am really not understanding your point. Do you even know, how much tears are useful for our health? It helps clearing your eyes, reduce stress and even help venting your emotions, look at me, I can't even cry, tears don't come out of my eyes because I don't understand such emotions, it hurts a lot…so consider yourself lucky that you are able to express your emotions freely, don't go around listening to others' bullshit, if men crying makes them weak and women crying is annoying, what is the use of having tear glands in first place? Crying is part of normal human emotions, and emotions are for everyone, that's the end of the story. (I took a deep breath to relax)

Thomas: (his cheek becomes red as he covers his face feeling shy) Y-You know you are the second person who told me that crying is normal. Last month, when I was getting bullied a girl around your age helped me, her name was Irina, she has short black hair with red highlights- (I cut him short)

Me: Do I look like I give a fuck about your love life? (I rubbed my forehead frustrated) Jeez dude. (I sighed)

Thomas: (he pouts) Fine…. Don't listen. So when can we hangout again? (His golden eyes sparkled with hope)

Me: What do you mean?...why will we hangout again? I don't even know you. (I felt like poking his eyes)

Thomas: What do you mean? We have been talking about an hour now, I even told you about my life story…what else do we need to become friends? (He got confused)

Me: I don't even know your name! (I said while standing up and dusting myself)

Thomas: Oh right. (He stands up as well while extending his hand) I am Thomas, my father is local politician and mother is charity worker. I am a single child, so if you want, you can be my little sister as well. (He grinned) how about you?

Me: (I chocked on my spit) Did you that you are the son of local politician?

Thomas: Ya, but keep it a secret. (He looks around) my father wants me to understand the life of normal people, that's why I pretend to be poor, I don't want luxuries, I just want real friends. (He smiles)

Me: (I scanned him head to toe, his clothes were clearly expensive, my initial impression of him was that of a lost rich kid getting bullied) Yeah….you are good at pretending….anyways, I am Anne Elizabeth…I will think about your offer regarding being your sister. For now, I already have two elder brothers. Alright then, it's getting late, goodbye, someone came to pick you up. (I pointed at his butler who was waiting patiently)

Thomas: Uhm…where do you live? Can we meet again?...(he gets shy) Please? I promise I won't disturb you.

Me: (I felt awkward then rubbed my forehead) Do you have any games at your home?

Thomas: (he nods) Video games, lots of them.

Me: Maybe on Sunday….I have classes from tomorrow, so I need to sleep early, Goodnight. (I said before walking off)
