Keep her safe

London1850:

Meg held the little bundle, "Sister you're the only one I trust."

Anna sighed, "Oh Meg... I swear I'll make sure your-"

Meg shook her head, "She's yours now Anna. There's enough money to get you started right and three tickets aboard the S.S. City of Glasgow to Philadelphia."

Meg blinked back tears, "From there I was able to arrange teaching positions for you and Mary."

Anna blushed a little, "You don't think..."

Meg gave her a little smile, "You married her brother who passed away. It's only right she'd stay close to her brother's young widow and child."

A soft giggle sounded from the door as a woman walked with tea, "Oh Anna was right. You are incredibly smart."

Meg gave a nod, "I have everything you'll need..."

Anna hugged her sister, "I'll miss you and so will she."

The tears fell fast, "He can't find her..."

Mary took her hand, "I swear he won't."

Present day:

Sherlock sat back in his chair as John escorted the beautiful Miss Rain Davis out.

He was lost in thought when John returned.

"Do you think she is legitimately the descendant of Irish Meg?"

Sherlock stood and retrieved a file of his own, "I do, but we must proceed cautiously."

He passed John a photo, "Is this...?"

Sherlock nodded, "The resemblance is uncanny."

Standing he picked up his violin, "We'll do a search of her office and room."

John sat back, "You think she's in danger?"

Sherlock lifted the bow and paused before playing the first note, "I think she may be in for more than she suspects."
