 As he began, his voice was like the winter wind that it brought cold shivers on those who heard it, yet soft and calm at the same time. 


 The aura he exuded and the passion that filled his voice was felt by everyone, including Mrs. Johnson. She could not believe her ears, his voice was the sweetest melody she had ever heard . 


 When Andrew was a little kid and his father was still alive, Andrew attended music classes and his father practice with him at home. Mrs. Johnson reminisced of those days, when the house was full of melody. When both father and son sang all day, playing musical instruments and chattering happily. She would watch them from a distance, smiling in admiration. Music, it brought peace and harmony in the family. 


 On Christmas day, Mr. Leonard Johnson (her late husband) would sing for them while they sat under the Christmas tree, she, holding her two lovely children, Andrew and Teresa in her arms, and looking lovingly at her husband. 


 As Mrs. Johnson looked at her son, all she could see was her late husband. He was very much like him, a reflection of Leonard Johnson. She began to feel guilty for how badly she had been treating him. Now, she felt compassionate towards her son. Andrew ended his song and there was silence in the hall, before everyone stood to their feet and applauded non-stop, cheering excitedly. 


 " Thank you all " Andrew finally ended and they cheered him loudly. Nina couldn't hold her joy, a wide smile could also be seen on Mrs. Johnson's face too. 


 Andrew stepped down from the stage and went to meet Nina and Kate. 


 " Wow, that was stupendous " Kate praised. 


 " You are amazing " Nina praised and Nina embraced him. 


 After the concert, Andrew, Nina and Kate walked out of the hall chatting merrily till Andrew sighted his mother. His heart skipped as she walked towards him. 


 " I'm sorry mum. I really am, please forgive me and let me outta the bait just this once " Andrew pleaded. 


 " You surprised me today, my dear son " Mrs. Johnson blurted out. Andrew was startled by her words. 


 " I'll let you chase your dreams, you have my full support. " Mrs. Johnson said and this had Andrew stare at her for a moment in astonishment. Those words seemed unreal to Andrew. 


 Nina and Kate looked at each other in uttermost surprise. 


 " I'll support you on whatever you decide. I guess all this while, I was blinded by my own desires".
