Thirst For Vengeance.

Lola's eyes widened as Luis placed his hands on her cheeks, and as she was about to say something, he pinched her cheeks and squealed, "Your cheeks are so soft, I knew it from the very first day we met at school that they would be this soft."

Lola was perplexed, 'He was about to kiss me just now, right?' She thought, as she grabbed his hand and pulled it away from her cheeks.

Luis chuckled and said, "What did you expect me to do to you? I won't do things like that with you because you're a married woman; I'll wait until the time comes."

"What if it doesn't come?" Lola mumbled to herself, thinking Luis wouldn't hear, but he did, and he went silent for a moment before saying, "It will come."

Santiago's car arrived at the entrance of Lola's company building. He dashed out of the car and ran to the entrance, but the gatekeeper had already locked the doors.

"Hey, why are you locking the doors?" He inquired.

The man scanned him with one of his eyebrows raised and replied, "Because everyone left."

The man then shook his head and looked away, 'what kind of stupid question was that? Why else would I have locked the doors?' he reasoned as he walked away.

Santiago tried calling Lola again, but she didn't answer.

"Just drive," he said as he got back into the car.

"Yes, sir," the chauffeur replied as he drove away.

"Shall we go somewhere else or do you want me to take you home?" Luis asked. Lola looked at him and thought, 'I don't want to go back.'

"Somewhere else," Lola replied. Luis nodded, turned and went down the hill, and she followed.

The headlights of another car shone at them as they were about to enter his car. Lola and Luis both looked at the car that had stopped behind Luis's. The car door opened to reveal a furious looking Santiago. Lola's brow furrowed and her eyes grew cold at the sight of him.

"So this is where you've been," Santiago exclaimed. Luis sighed deeply and was about to speak when Lola raised her hand, looked at him, and said, "shut up, don't say anything."

Lola inquired, "How did you know I was here?"

"I tracked your location and this is where the GPS tracker led me, to see this," Santiago sniggered.

"Oh wow Lola, I didn't expect this from you, going on a date with another man while your husband has been looking for you worried sick about your safety," He added.

Santiago was about to speak again when she interrupted him, saying, "Hold it, you've said everything you needed to say, now hear what I have to say."

"Yes, I went a date with another man, who happened to be Luis Borbón, is that what you want to hear?" Lola responded, and Santiago clenched his fist, walked up to her, grabbed her hand, and said, "We're going home." pulling her along.

Lola returned her gaze to Luis, who had a sullen expression on his face, and quickly looked away.

'I've come to a decision; at first, I was only planning on quietly divorcing Santiago without completely destroying him, but after learning everything he's done, I just can't let him go freely . I'll make sure you rot, Santiago,' She thought as she got into the car with Santiago and drove away.

As he watched the car reverse and drive away, Luis mumbled,

"He took her away, and I was powerless to stop him."

In his mind, he saw himself pinching Lola's cheeks, her small round cherry lips in his sight. He mumbled, "I should have kissed her right then." As a smirk crept from a corner of his lips and covered his face with his hand.

When Lola and Santiago arrived home, he said nothing and went to his room, leaving her in the living room.

"It's a good thing he didn't say anything," Lola remarked.

Laura approached her with a look filled with concern and inquired, "Madam, are you okay?"

Lola smirked and said, "I've never felt any better," before turning to Laura and saying, "I'm not eating tonight," and turned to walk away.

***

She entered her room, took out her phone, checked the message Luis sent earlier, and saved his number, thinking, 'I should keep in touch with him, he would be very useful.'

Later that night, Santiago entered Livia's room, laid on the bed, and drew her into his embrace. Livia, who was sleeping, opened her eyes and tried to free herself from his embrace, but he wouldn't let go.

"What exactly do you want?" She screamed angrily.

"Can't we just stay this way forever? I and you "Santiago inquires as he pats her on the head.

"What are you talking about now?" Livia inquired.

"Livia, I apologize for yelling at you earlier; I wasn't in the right frame of mind at the time "Santiago said as he kissed her on the cheek.

' Yeah right, after yelling at me like that, there's no way I will forgive you.'

Livia remained silent, burying her face in his broad chest, and dozed off.

"Just give me a little more time," Santiago mumbled as he fell asleep as well.

The Next Day ...

*Lola's Office*

After hearing what Lola had told her, Maria looked at Lola with worry...

"I'm not sure of how or what to feel, right now... First, he lied about the surrogacy even brought a fake contract, and now you're telling me he caused all of your miscarriages. Why would he do such a thing? How did you get Amber on your side in the first place?" Maria inquired, leaning against Lola's desk.

"Just played alittle mind game and bargained with her for a larger sum of money. I found out Livia had been using her when I caught her hiding in my room with the copy of the Marriage certificate in her hand. When I asked her, she told me everything she knew," Lola replied, smiling subtly, pulling out a red booklet envelope and adding, "One thing she doesn't know is that she gave Livia the copy and not the original."

"So you knew Livia would want to destroy the evidence? That's why you made a copy before hand." Maria asked, impressed, and Lola nodded.

"Damn, she is dumb. " Maria said, referring to Livia.

"Anyways, let's forget about that dumb b*tch. How can you still believe what Amber says?" Maria inquired.

" She knows how powerful I am. She didn't appear to be lying either; she told me she was the one who told Livia about my pregnancy, every single pregnancy I had, and that woman managed to persuade Santiago to give me abortion pills," Lola responded.

"This is...I don't know," Maria said, holding Lola's hand, looking at her with concern.

"I knew I shouldn't have told you , let go of my hand and stop worrying about me," Lola said, pulling her hand away from Maria's grip.

Maria sighed, rolled her eyes, and inquired, "How can I not be concerned about my best friend?"

Maria looked at her again and asked, "Aren't you even a little upset about this?"

"Yes I was," Lola replied, "You know I just found out that my so-called husband literally murdered our unborn children because he wanted his girlfriend in the picture."

Lola rose to her feet, folded her arms, and said, "But it has fueled my thirst for vengeance."

"Are you going to divorce him? And most likely sue him in court."Maria said .

"No. I intend to divorce him, but I also intend to do something... that will cause him to suffer for the rest of his life. He'd be sorry he tried to mess with me." Lola responded in a cold tone.

"I see you've made up your mind, so there's no stopping you," Maria said, and Lola nodded.

"I'm available whenever you need my help," Maria said as she turned to leave, sighing tiredly as she walked out of Lola's office.

She notices Marco yawning as he walked out of his office. She stepped in front of him and said, "Hello there, Marco. You appear tired."

"No, it's not a problem. I'm fine; how did your conversation with Madam go?" Marco inquired.

"I'm concerned," Maria said, looking at Lola's office door.

Marco cocked his brow and inquired, "why ? What exactly are you concerned about?"

But Maria remained silent.

"Are you concerned about madam?" Marco inquired once more.

"Yes, but I'm much more concerned about the people who will be affected by her next action. I forgot to mention that when Lola is this enraged, nothing can stop her. She would make the person who caused her such anguish pay dearly." Maria responded and Marco's eyes widened.

The things Maria said giving him goosebumps, 'Huh? madam is really that cruel,' He thought.

"Did I frighten you little puppy?" Maria asked, smiling.

"Ahem! No, I was just surprised," Marco responded as he adjusted his black suit.

Maria checked her wristwatch before looking at him and saying, "It's already lunch break, let's have coffee together."

She grabbed his hand and pulled him along before he could respond.

"Do you have a favourite coffee?" She inquired.

"I guess it's Espresso," He stuttered.

"I like that too, but my favourite is cappuccino," She said as they exited the building.

"Come on, walk faster, I'll drive us to the best fancy café," she said as she approached her car.

"Is that really necessary? I mean there's a coffee shop around here with the best cappuccino." Marco suggested.

Maria came to a halt and turned to look at him , and asked "Better than the cafés?"

Marco responded, "Yes, I go there frequently with my coworkers. It's not just the cappuccinos that are tasty."

Maria's eyes lit up with excitement as she ran back to his side and said, "Please take me there!"

Marco chuckled at her enthusiasm and asked, "Is it okay if I bring my friends?"

"Yes, yes, the more the merrier, call them all, and the coffee is on me!!" Maria exclaimed.

"Uh, there's no need to buy us coffee," Marco exclaimed.

"What are you worried about?" Maria responded. Marco took a deep breath, took out his phone, and texted a group message to the few guys he drinks coffee with.

"Are you finished?"

Marco nodded and said, "yes, let's go," and they walked to the coffee shop.
