Healing

Murder.

He could have committed murder today if any number of things went slightly differently.

Having come to that boundary, Di Tou was woefully reminded that he was not prepared to take that step.

His hands shaking a little, Di Tou tried to calm himself down. This was just another of one of the many things he'd have to get acclimated to.

Although he didn't ever want to become cold hearted, or sucked into this world, Di Tou was a practical person. Some things, it wasn't that they were impossible to avoid, but they were so hard to avoid that it wasn't realistic to pursue.

This was his life, not a game. Would he really push himself into the highest difficulty for the sake of sparing people who were unrelated to him? Or worse, people who actively schemed and had ill intentions against him?

From a logical perspective, Di Tou could accept that he would have to kill someone eventually. But looking at his hands…

His hands told the truth.
