A Forgotten Method

Pushing the water aside, Di Tou realized with some discontent that the water would no longer thin out any further, and instead, all he was doing was pushing around the layer of water that remained, as the water had spread out to reach just about the entirety of the floor, and now as he pushed the water aside, he was simply leaving dirty looking streaks across the floor. Looking at the bucket that had lain unused, Di Tou couldn't help but feel a little sad.

Unsure of what to Do, Di Tou continued pushing the water around, hoping something would change. While he was doing this and waiting for the water to heat up, his mind couldn't help but wander. It had been a little while since he had done some janitorial work. Thinking about it, his quest to reach fifty percent efficiency in sweeping leaves had remained stagnant for a long time.
