Finally There!

Staring at the ground, Di Tou closed his eyes as some sour memories from the past began to pull up in his memories. Leaning back in the chair, Di Tou silently sat for a long time before eventually letting out a long, hot breath and saying, "Haish, how nice it'd be to see you, to see anyone again."

When he opened his eyes, he was back inside the bakery. Looking up, Di Tou found he was no longer afraid, and when he looked at the roof once more, there was no longer a series of scratch marks but rather a somewhat rural and rough-looking carving of a bird and a man staring at one another.
