Cultivating

Letting out a long breath, Di Tou slowly opened his eyes and looked up at the horizon, from which a gentle light was rising. Letting out a smile, Di Tou slightly rubbed his legs and got out of the lotus position before standing up and wiping the morning dew off of his forehead.

Patting himself on the butt to get rid of any lingering bits of dirt or grass, Di Tou couldn't help but sigh. After cultivating for so long and meditating, he had thought of the novels back on earth in which cultivators would cultivate outside to get closer to nature and all that jazz about the lotus position, so he had thought he would give it a try.

But after cultivating for a night in the lotus position, his only thoughts were that his legs were sore, the ground was hard, and the morning dew accumulating on his forehead wasn't exactly a great feeling. Of course, as a cultivator, all these little things could be ignored, but the biggest problem was that there wasn't really any benefit.
