Small Tricks

Letting out another soft groan, Fu Hao Xin used his hands to stand up against the back of the rock as he sensed waves of Qi in the vicinity. The medication had already begun taking effect, but that only healed his wounds. It did little to help with either his exhaustion or the pain from his injuries. In some cases, the injuries even hurt more! After all, is it really good medicine if it doesn't sting a bit?

Moving quietly, Fu Hao Xin walked around as if he were a mortal, ignoring his powerful body. For a moment, one might think he was stupid, as he gave up the advantages of his cultivation technique, which was highly movement-based, and he began to quietly climb up the mountainside. But then, one would find that as he moved, he left very few traces, and his Qi was constrained to his body, making it hard to detect him. For an instant, he seemed like a mortal.

As a mortal, although Fu Hao Xin wasn't confident in a lot of things, surviving on a mountain was up there.
