Two Paths

Feeling a slight headache coming on, Di Tou thought for a moment before shaking his head and sighing. As much as he wanted to just throw up his hands and just say, "I'll take it as it comes." He didn't think he could do that. He wasn't very smart, very strong, or very special.

Well, perhaps in this world he was considered pretty special because of his experience from Earth, and the fact that he was a Mandate Holder, but what Di Tou was talking about was himself, not 'Mu Di Bai' or 'Yin Shi Tou.' Just plain Di Tou, wasn't that special. And he wasn't so proud to think that a few benefits would carry him for an entire lifetime. Perhaps with the Mandate he had risen above ninty percent of the world, but so what? Weren't there still experts like Mu Di Bai who were far stronger than him and far wiser than him? Were there no geniuses out there that would outpace him in growth? All of it was possible, and even proven already. So why would he treat the Mandate like a God?
