Causing a Ruckus

For the Academy's technique, he had traveled hundreds of miles from his hometown, bearing great risks to arrive at the legendary Academy. Once arriving, he had had to restart his life all over again, barely making a living using his skills and experience cooking breakfast on the streets. Then, by the gracious nature of the Academy, he had gotten a chance to cultivate. Although this was 'free' it was also more like a sort of societal welfare that the Academy provided. It wasn't 'free' in the sense of the fact that he had gotten it for nothing. He had had to make great strides, and come to the number one holy ground of cultivation in the world!
