Capturing the Beast

Backing up, Di Tou was regretting that the bird-snake creature had gotten away and caused such a hubbub when the creature jumped out of the dimensional rift… head side first.

Confused at the situation, Di Tou watched as the beast's large body landed on the ground and began running this way and that in a chaotic manner, with the snake head flinging this way and that as if it were a limp noodle.

Tracking the beast's movements, Di Tou was stunned to find that despite his extensive calculation skills, he couldn't figure out a pattern in the beast's movement at all or even a motive. It wasn't running towards him, it wasn't running away, it was simply running back and forth in the sea of vines, that seemed to be afraid of it, but also tempted by its dripplets of blood that caused the vines to rise up in height every time the bird-snake passed by.

Looking at it… it almost felt like he was watching a headless chicken run around!
