The Night Before the Big Game

Wednesday was another good day for lessons, although I've talked enough about my Wednesday classes that didn't think I needed to go in-depth this time. Let's just go with some highlights.

Oh, I did finally get to learn some Realmsverse history. For the first time since coming to her class, we managed to get through Mistress Ravenloft's lectures without causing a mess. We discussed how the Salem witch trials on Earth were the precursor to a much larger witch culling that spread across the realmsverse back in the seventeenth century.

"Earth's witch trials were a farce," Mistress Ravenloft declared. "A result of politics and religious propaganda which allowed a patriarchal society to condemn free-thinking women of that age."

The vampire's eyes burned as she discussed how women were oppressed during that period, while also drawing parallels to today's feminist movement and the empowerment of the modern woman.
