A Time for Battles, Part 1

EDITED: 14/07/23

I thought it was interesting that a spell I hadn't fully mastered, which Doomsday had also brushed off like it was nothing, wreaked enough havoc in the arena to leave my opponent trapped under hardened sand while also stunning a hostile audience into dead silence. Not to toot my own horn, but that sounded like a whole lot of growth on my part.

My gaze drifted down to Rollo's unconscious face. The 'Rage' was gone. He was back to being that mild-mannered teenager I'd met before the berserker took over. What a pity.

"You shouldn't have held yourself back at the bottom of the rankings," I whispered.

I couldn't help feeling a little annoyed. Rollo had talent. He just wasn't using it right or pushing himself enough.

As Divah always said, "If you're still fine at the end of the day then you're not training the right way. Growth comes from destruction… pushing yourself to the limit every day is how you become strong."
