The Boy Who Cried Wolf - Epilogue

Liara and I were buried in hugs by my Team Six mates as soon as we stepped onto the Red Pearl's deck. I counted at least six teary-eyed faces—yes, even Lohgan, although the wood elf was quick to back off once he realized what he'd done.

"Will! Liara!" Dess bawled into the life jackets Mistress Lorelai made us wear on the lifeboat that had flown us up to the Red Pearl. "I'm so—hic—happy that you're—hic—not dead!"

At least the fairy's words were clear. Morph and Scared—Bart, I meant Bart—were incoherent while they cried happy tears at our reunion. Meanwhile, Delphine and Brunhilde were more subdued in their greetings, but you could tell they were glad to see that the fissure portal hadn't crushed me and Liara into specks of dust.

Yeah, these guys were an emotional bunch. Apart from Draken, of course, and Saga, but that's because Saga was just too cool for hugs. Respect.
