A Ting of Guilds , Part 2

"Seriously, if you're the protagonist of tonight's adventure then we're all doomed," Liara whispered as I walked ahead. 

I waved at her, ignoring the she-elf's witty, but cutting remarks as I strolled confidently into a literal lion's den. 

The first eye to turn my way apart from Mistress Lorelai belonged to a familiar face. One I hadn't seen in two years. 

A beautiful silver-haired fairy in a white pantsuit smiled warmly back at me, although I could see a sprinkle of wariness flashing briefly in her expression as she recognized the apprentice of her old guildmate rival. 

Soon enough, more gazes turned my way, many of them hostile, some with confusion, and one or two with welcome smiles that made me suspicious of their owners.
