The Theory of Everything, Part 1

"Send me back!" I growled. "I didn't even see how he made the Quintessence!"

Okay, I know I was yelling at a master who had control over my grades, but I was so miffed that I didn't get to see the conclu—ahem—the reason for my invasion of his brain that I may have forgotten the part that he was my teacher.

"I can't," the ghost Faustus said.

"I don't remember," the draugr Faustus replied.

"Uh…"

Was it weird that I could see and interact with both versions of him like they weren't the same person?

Yeah, it was. Seriously.

Ghost Faustus' head was popping out of draugr Faustus' shoulder, giving off the illusion that he had two heads like a two-headed serpent did.

"You don't remember?" I repeated.

The whole point of going inside his brain was so I could check out memories that he didn't remember outright.

Both Faustus' shook their heads.

"How is that possible…?"
