Unfurl the Memories

Sweet memories linger in one's heart like a sweet-smelling perfume; a life full of colours, a past often wrapped in shining light.

In the bleakest of circles, a trace of joy can often be found, a life resplendent with joys and sorrows, a cosmic display of stars and comets.

One can drown in reminiscences of both joy and sadness, for life's memories are a treasure that none can cart away.

Jiang Xicheng looked up from his deep thought as he heard the knock on the door. In walked a young servant, bearing a tray of teacups and a teapot. He was dressed in a green cloth smock.

"Your tea, sir," the servant said, as he set down the tray.

Jiang Xicheng smiled and nodded. He spotted the two artefacts he had brought with him earlier, the glaive and white jade. The servant gave them a sweeping glance as well.

"Very splendid, sir," he commented. "A collector of fine tastes, are you?"

"I have my moments, yes," Jiang Xicheng said with a smirk.
