The man seated in a wheelchair merely raised a brow at her declaration. His lips then curled into a dashing smile and he agreed without batting an eyelid. However, when the time was almost up, he rushed to convince her to stay in their marriage.

“Madam Qin deserves the best. If it’s the world you desire, I’ll bring it to you on a silver platter. You can have the entire world, but darling, do not forget that while everything belongs to you, you belong to me.”

Adrienne furrowed her brows.

“But you don’t even like me...” She reasoned out, thinking that her husband might have lost his mind.

“No, I didn’t, but I do love you now. In fact, you are the only one I think of these days.”

However, it seemed to her that not only her husband was trying to get her attention but her in-laws as well.

Two months passed in a blink of an eye. Adrienne, Hunter, and Irina arrived in an exclusive village three cities away from Changshi City. They were here to see Lennox's youngest sister, Scarlett Qin. Among Lennox's siblings, the younger girl wasn't suffering any financial difficulties. However, according to the reports Adrienne received from Gavin, the girl wasn't spared from domestic abuse, just like Samantha.

"Do you have a plan, Addie?" Hunter asked. The car they were using was parked a few meters away from Scarlett's home. "Considering the child is homeschooled, it would be impossible for you to meet her outside."

"No, not really. Scarlett's mother is ashamed of her, but she can't hide the child forever. The reports said that her homeschool teacher occasionally brings her outside. We only need to wait a little and strike when the chance presents itself." Adrienne answered her brother.
