Second Chance (2)

Rosemary couldn't believe that she would finally meet her son. Her heart was beating so fast, and her hands were shaking. After all these years, she would finally know what he looked like, how he sounded, and everything about him. She wanted to hug him, hold him in her arms, and never let him go. She wanted to make up for all the lost time and be the mother that she was meant to be.

However, Rosemary also realized that not only did she fail to protect Adrienne, but her firstborn as well. As she thought about how her husband and his mistress tricked her, Rosemary couldn't help but feel a mix of anger and betrayal. She couldn't believe she had been deceived for so long, and the weight of her own naivety crushed her. The overwhelming guilt consumed her, knowing that she had unknowingly allowed her children to suffer because of her.
