I Have No Interest in You (1)

"Ayla is pregnant, Addie," Myrtle told her best friend. "It feels uncomfortable knowing I'll have a niece or nephew from her."

Adrienne lifted her gaze only to see Myrtle's conflicted expression. She knew that her friend's relationship with the Han family had been strained because of her.

"Are you worried? Isn't this what your grandmother wanted when she allowed your brother to marry Ayla?" She asked.

"Of course, I'm worried, Addie. I'm worried about the child. You know what kind of people my brother and his wife are. I'm worried about what kind of upbringing they will give the child, and it's not like they will allow me to get involved with the child's life."

Adrienne nodded sympathetically, understanding the weight of her friend's concerns.

"It must be incredibly frustrating to feel helpless in this situation, especially when you genuinely worry about the child's well-being. Is there anything you can do for their child?"
