Playing With Fire (2)

Lennox returned home late that night, expecting his siblings and wife to be asleep. As he quietly entered the house, he noticed a dim light coming from the living room. Curiosity piqued, Lennox cautiously made his way toward the source of the light, wondering who could still be awake at this hour.

He then found his wife seated on the couch with a thoughtful look on her face and a wine glass in one hand. Lennox found Adrienne's unusual behavior intriguing because she rarely indulged in late-night reflection.

He approached her silently, not wanting to startle her, and gently touched her shoulder.

"What's on your mind, love?" He asked, taking the wine glass from her hand and taking a sip.

Adrienne looked up, surprised to see him. She was so preoccupied with her thoughts that she failed to hear her husband's arrival.
