Dear Father (1)

It took a week before Adrienne could return to work and pick up her usual daily routine. Lennox was concerned about her health, but he assured her that the only discomfort she could feel was the slight soreness from her stab wound. Because of this, she also had to stop her usual morning exercise and workouts until the doctors signaled her to continue.

Adrienne stepped out of the shower stall with a white towel covering her naked body, feeling a sense of relief as the warm water washed away the stress and tension of the past week. She glanced at her reflection in the foggy bathroom mirror, noticing that she had lost weight for the past month when she was bedridden.

No wonder her husband was worried she might not be fit to return to work yet. However, she can't possibly leave everything to Myrtle, Valerie, and Sunny. Her prolonged absence from the company might also lead to missed opportunities and potential setbacks.
