The tension between Pei Xingcheng and Tang Zhixi was palpable as they stood in the eerie silence, refusing to give in. Pei Xingcheng was eager to leave the place before the ghost arrived, while Tang Zhixi was determined to stay and meet the ghost.

Because of their stubborn nature, neither of them was ready to compromise. As time passed, Pei Xingcheng became increasingly restless and impatient, and it showed in his demeanor. "Let's go back, Miss Ghost."

At last, he couldn't take it any longer and snapped, "Fine, if you want to stay here and wait for that ghost like a fool, then go ahead. I am going back to my room to sleep."

Tang Zhixi was enraged by Pei Xingcheng's words and actions. She crossed her arms over her chest and turned her face away from him, deciding to ignore him.
