Chapter 13: The Destiny of Weakness.
Shu Kura's cry pierced the air, sending a shiver of anticipation down the spine of all present. The ground trembled beneath their feet as the air thickened with an almost palpable tension, as if reality itself was being stretched to its very limits.
Then came the blinding flash of light from the summoning circle at Shu Kura's temple. The light exploded into the darkness and in its midst emerged a massive creature. Its body was covered in shimmering red fur that flowed like liquid fire, and its eyes burned with an intense golden light that pierced the very soul.
A warm orange glow encircled its form, almost as if it was a sign of welcome to this creature of majestic yet terrifying presence. The creature's form was that of a lion, but it was far more imposing and powerful than any earthly beast. Its muscles rippled beneath its fur, and it exuded an aura of raw power and majesty that made it clear that this was a being to be feared and respected.
Shu Kura's pale face broke into a smile as he gazed upon the mighty beast before him, a thrill of excitement and awe coursing through his veins. This was not just any creature, but a legendary being of immense power and mystical significance that belonged solely to him!
The beast let out a deafening roar, shaking the very foundations of the earth, its eyes gleaming with pure disdain for everything around it. It pawed the ground with its massive claws, carving deep furrows in the ground as it prepared to do battle. In that moment, it was clear that the summoner had called forth a true force of nature, a being that would stop at nothing to achieve its goal.
The sight of the crimson lion was both terrifying and awe-inspiring, a testament to the raw power that would only need merely one moment to tear apart the body of the weak.
Yun Mei , who was lost in the thrill of finally dishing out pain to this monster of a man, feeling the rush of being close to ending this traumatic encounter. But everything changed in a split second as a giant lion that exuded pure terror appeared before her, its jaws gaping wide in a deafening roar. The beast was larger than any creature she had ever seen and was coming to end her.
She stood frozen in terror, staring up at the colossal, mythical lion as it towered over her. Just as she resigned herself to her fate, a desperate shout reached her ears, and a blur of movement caught her eye. Her heart leapt with hope as she saw her father charging towards the lion, a determined glint flashing across his eyes.
Yun Feng had barely escaped the unending pressure crashing on him when Shu Kura's focus was shaken. Rushing over without thinking, he saw that frightening creature appear so close to Yun Mei and the man. Only one thought occupied his mind - to save Yun Mei.
With a sudden move, he thrust his left arm into the lion's jaws, sacrificing it to save his daughter. The lion clamped down with a bone-shattering force, tearing the his left limb from his body. Despite the unbearable pain, Yun Feng plunged his sword 'sorrow into the throat of the deadly beast with all the strength he could muster, betting his life on that strike.
Unfortunately, his strength was no match for this beast. Only because of the sharpness of the Sword 'Sorrow' was he able to leave a dent on the creature, the next moment his body or at least was left of it was sent flying ten feet way by the crimson lion.
"Father!!!" Yun Mei and Yun Feng screamed in horror as their father fell to the ground, his blood spilling onto the dirt.
Shu Kura's watched on with a mocking smile on his face, "A mere mantis trying to stop a chariot, how comical, how...."
Shu KuRa's suddenly stopped mid sentence, his eyes narrowed whne he saw Yun Feng's sword actually leave a dent on his crimson lion with that strike.
Although the injury on the crimson lion was tiny , it still was the work of a mortal, and shouldn't be even possible , the crimson lion's flesh was far thicker than any Mortal weapon , and stringer that entry level Deity weapons.
Even Rank Nine Unsealed Red Lotus wouldn't be able to leave a dent on the crimson Lion even if it stood there without fighting back.
Yet now that impenetrable skin was pierced by a mortal, Shu Kura didn't believe for once that the mortal was capable of such a feet with merely hus palpable strength, the only plausible cause would be that the Sword used for the attack was a very powerful one.
with that thought flashing through his mind, Shu Kuratook a closer look at the sword that mortal was gripping as he lay there bleeding on the ground.
His narrowed eyes shown a light of greed, as an soft sigh left hus throat, he wondered just how and why such a weak ant was so luck. for someone with a vast amount of experience experience knowledge he could easily tell that the dusty old looking sword held immense value and would prolly spark a battle that would shake even nations if it was exposed to the cultivation world, but now such a sword was in the hands of a mortal, away from anyone's prying eyes only for him to claim.
"hahaha it seems the heaven has finally chosen to smile on me, not only will I get such a rare tribute for the king in this withered land , but I also get to keep such a refined sword" Shu Kura laughed, it was as if he could already imagine himself slithering the treats of his enemies from left to right with that sword.
As for what Yun Feng, the owner of the sword had to say about it, that was inconsequential, to him the weak where only destined to be trample by the strong, men like him bullying ants like Yun Feng was a blessing to them.
Yun Mei stood frozen as her father fell to the ground, his body writhing in pain from the blow he just received, blood gushing put from his now empty left shoulder like a dam that burst open.
She watched in horror as he struggled to get back up, his face twisted in agony.
Bang!!
But before she could even process what was happening, she felt a sudden force hit her from the side, sending her flying meters away.
She landed on the ground with a thud, her body skidding across the dirt as she tried to regain her bearings. Her mind was still reeling from the shock of being blindsided, and she struggled to focus on the scene before her, but her body soon fell victim of its tiredness, as her vision darkened and she blacked out.
"yun.....Mei"
Yun Feng cried out, his heart was in pain, a pain that over shadowed the pain from loosing his arm, it was despair, right before his eyes both his daughters had fallen into such traumatic situations and he, their father was worthless enough to not be able to help them.
At the moment he was completely spent, Yun Mei's condition looked very grave , as for Yun Fei, she was also uncouncious in that man's hand , probably from over exerting her self too much using all that ice.
"I still failed you" Yun Feng let out a sigh in his heart his fate was to come, before him the summoned lion loomed over him, ready to finish what it had started.
"In your next life, live like a slave you are, don't sire anymore talented kids or pick up things you shouldn't" Shu Kura cold words traveled the distance into Yun Feng's ears right as he was about to be chewed up by the Summon Lion.
