Jyriah returned back from his time with Silas as a happier male than when he left. In fact, everyone was stunned at his wide smile and nearly perfectly clean clothes that had just a smidgen of blood spatter on it.
Joss had a suspicious look on his face as his mate practically skipped in. He didn't want to question Jyriah's good mood - buuuuut...
"You seem happy. Did uh, did you kill him slow or something?"
"Hahaha, no" Jyriah replied with genuine laughter in his voice that sounded tired and hoarse.
"Baby, what did you do, yell at him?" Joss asked with concern and walked over to meet his mate, who even though was shorter than he was, was able to pick him up and spin him around briefly. "Woahkay!"
"Heheh, I laughed at him for like, what? Two hours straight? I mean we're talking some pure teasing, babe. He was so upset that he started to cry out of anger. It was beautiful, and I think I needed that more than the yelling. Agh, I'm going to get abs if I keep laughing this hard," the jovial spirit replied through deep mirth as giggles continued to bubble out of his mouth with glee.
"I'm taking it he didn't give you an apology?" The cool wolf asked for clarity rather than an actual inquiry.
"Pffft. Hell no. He'd rather die, apparently. Or put up with my fun little songs and jeers. I may have kicked some dirt in his face a little, too - you know when his mouth was open from yelling a lot," Jyriah snickered as Silas' face entered his memory.
"Wow, I'm really glad to see you taking this well..." Joss said impressively.
"So...no healing tonics then?" Jessie let out curiously.
"Nah. He lost a few teeth and stuff, but he'll heal everything else. He's gonna have to sit there and dread his battle with Metas after tomorrow. Oh boy I can't wait to fuck with his psyche some more!"
"What did you tell him?" Veltar asked as he looked over with interest.
"Oh, only the truth. The basics, you know - Metas is going to challenge him to a fight in front of all of our little colony here, and that he's going hear everyone cheer against him as our Alpha King whips him like the little bitch he is - and that we're gonna use his pelt for something super fun," Jyriah paused and let out another burst of laughter.
"Hold on- hold on it gets better. I also lied to him and said we're taking bets on seeing if he pisses his pants or not, but now I want that to actually be a real thing. I want everyone to laugh at him instead of boo. He'll hate that so much. I've found his sore paw and I'm going to poke it until Metas rips the head from his shoulders," the burgundy red-head finished with an impassioned sigh of contentment, and lowered himself to the ground as fatigue began to set in from the dancing, singing, laughing, and fun stuff he had done.
Veltar grinned, and Jess let out a singular, 'Hah!'. There was plenty of time for them to round up as many souls as possible to get in on this plan. Nothing would please any of them more to see him humbled right before his execution.

It was 'late', which meant it was actually early. Silas hadn't been attended to in hours, and he was both hungry and thirsty. His anxiety rose as the sound of someone approaching entered his ears with each shift of soft earth.
His heart erupted with a little bit of joy as he saw Cassandra's face, and immediately went to work on her psyche, "Cass- Cass listen. I am sorry. I really am. I've had time to think about it and I want to apologize before I die. I love you, and I never treated you like you deserved."
Cassandra kept a poker face, but her true intentions were covered over as she got closer to him with a bowl of water. She said nothing as she offered him the bowl to drink from, which he did so greedily.
After a short time she took it from his lips and looked at him with a small amount of pity.
"I get it now... Harbinger used us both. You were right. I should have been there for you instead of just myself. I should have loved you, and protected you from the moment we met. Please forgive me," he begged with glassy green eyes of emerald that shined with tears.
Cassandra just stared at him for a moment and watched as he broke down into a pitiful state. She knew it was an act - but she'd bite a little to play at his game.
"Do you really mean that?" She asked entirely aloof.
"Of course, Cassie. I want to marry you. I should have done it already. I know we can't ever do it. Metas will kill me - but if I somehow did get a second chance with you, we could just run away and start over somewhere... Just me and you..." he sang quite the swan's song as he tried to tug at her emotions.
Oh he was a great actor - but not as good as her.
"...But...where would we even go?" Cassandra asked as weakly and fragile as she could muster. She event let her eyes get glassy and large as she stared into his eyes for hope.
"I'd find a way. I promise. If I just could get out with you, I'd spend the rest of my days making up all the abuse you endured by everyone -including me," he promised falsely.
"R-Really?" She let her chest shudder as she pretended to fall for his falsehoods.
"Absolutely, Cassie. I swear. We could even try for another baby..." he was playing on every emotion he could tug on, and as her face went into that of sadness, he knew he had her.
"I..All I want is to get out of here....I just want to live a happy life away from all of this," Cassandra sobbed and dropped the bowl so she could hide her face and muffle her cries.
"We can still do that, Cassie. Let's just go - right now. We can leave when everyone's asleep and go make our own happy pack. Can we do that together? Please? I love you - and I want to be your mate." Silas offered her hopeful eyes and a charming smile.
"Yes, okay. Let me go grab a few supplies and I'll come back to get you," she answered with stars in her gaze as she came up to him and put her hands to his face with passion.
"Really? Isn't that dangerous?" Silas feigned concern.
"It's worth it if that means I can finally just be worthy to be loved by you. Just give me a few minutes to gather some supplies and a weapon. I'll be right back my prince," she answered and moved in to peck his cheek before she allowed a trail of fake tears to stream down her cheeks.
"I love you, Cassie."
"I love you too, Silas. I'll be right back and we can get out of here....together..." she swooned like some dumb little female and turned to leave with haste, but not before turning over her shoulder one last time to give him a look of longing.
'Hah. What a fool, and she called me delusional,' he thought to himself as he watched her disappear into the dark tunnel.
His pride was filled again as the thought of not only tricking Cassandra wafted over him, but the fact he had made her fall back in love with him all over again with just a few sly lines and his beautiful eyes.
He waited with an entitled hopeful joy that soon she was going to return, and he could escape - only to kill Cassandra and leave her body for the old man who used him like tissue his entire life.
He was thrilled.
He was proud.
He was full of laughter on the inside...but only for so long.
As time passed it started to dawn on him; she wasn't coming back. She must have gotten caught, as no other reason could permeate his ego. Yes, she had gotten caught and that's why she didn't return.
In reality, Cassandra was just having a good chuckle with Jyriah as they watched Silas' face fall from one of pride into that of despair. To see him shift back into the same state she had been left in only made her heart feel lighter and less hungry for revenge.
Revenge didn't work with those like Silas - but ignoring, tricking, or laughing at them was a sure-fire way to repay their gifts.
