Where Are You, Garrison?

"And you are bragging about it?" Ana shook her head as she freed herself from Scarlet's grip. Her nails had dug hard in Ana's skin and her chin was bleeding now.

But all Scarlet heard was the mockery in Ana's voice.

"Do you not get it? A normal human could not survive one stabbing. Yet, he survived all of them, I have not stabbed his heart, he would not have died. He was.. He was…" Her eyes looked strange as if they were lost. For once, Ana felt pity on Garrison. Now she understood why he and James were so susceptible in sharing information with her. They were afraid Ana would think Garrison was a beast and repeat the mistakes of his mother.

"And he let you stab so many times? Did you not see how much he loved you to let you take his life? You are a foolish woman, Scarlet. Now I pity you too." Scarlet's eyes cracked. There was anger but there was more to that. Ana felt like she saw guilt but it was gone as fast as it came and Scarlet slapped Ana again.
