"The emperor?" I asked confused. "Why?"

What business could I possibly have with the Emperor of all people?

"We don't know why, but he says he would like to see you." The knight explained.

I had no idea what this was about but whatever it was it couldn't be bad, could it? Say I insisted to stay at the courthouse what would I do then? I would probably have to face the General and immediately I frowned at the thought.

"Very well," I finally replied and got into the carriage. Before long the carriage set off to make its way to the palace.

I leaned my head against the window tired, I watched the late afternoon sun slowly begin to set in the west. I thought of what awaited me once we arrived at the palace. It seemed I was in for more surprises today considering it had already been eventful as is. It had been a lot to take in.
