Be Patient with him

ARSEN'S POV

General Muron was trying to stir the pot and cause the other officials to question the prince. This actually wasn't the first time he'd done something like this. He was still very much intent on forcing me to produce another heir of "noble" birth.

I truly did wish Teon would choose to be the Crown Prince, not for my sake so I wouldn't have to marry again, but to prove that he was more than capable. I really did want to prove them wrong.

I knew making Teon the Crown Prince would ruffle some feathers as there had never been an heir to the throne that was born out of wedlock and to a commoner parent at that.  However, I thought if I could quickly train Teon and have him show his competence I could easily sweep it all under the rug. However, I had wrongly assumed Teon would be glad to be a prince and eager to take on the role since he came from humble circumstances.
