I promise

AYAN'S POV

Hearing Maris suddenly burst out that she was going to divorce the General caught me by surprise. She'd made her decision so quickly but I commended her in her decision. Had I still been married to the General I would instantly divorce him as well.

From the emperor's wing, I went with the wives to the wing where they gave me details of what the Emperor had told them and the conditions under which they could file for a divorce. Then they began to discuss amongst each other what their next plans were.

Overall, they seemed to still be in disbelief at the announcement of the new law.

Laika then pulled me to the side.

"I want to talk to the General tomorrow morning before I make my decision will you come with me?" She asked me.

I stared at her worriedly after her request.
