Sneaking up

'To think that I was worried about her for so long, only for everything to turn out so simple,' Theo thought, balancing on the back legs of his chair while keeping himself stable by putting his feet below the small table in front of him.

He had his eyes closed and had his arms resting on the chair's armrests, too focused on his inner thoughts to care about anything that was around him in the real world.

Theo breathed in and then breathed out. Breathed in…

"Enough," Theo muttered, pushing his eyelids open and looking at the familiar scene of the room.

Save for how messy everything was here after the Crusaders gutted the now-deceased elder's desk from all the documents, the room was exactly as Theo could remember it from his last visit.
