The life goes on

Alfred rushed through the shadows.

He didn't bother trying to be careful not to be seen. In the darkness of the night, it was already hard to see a lone person on the massive plane of the city's perimeter.

And he wasn't just a normal person, even if he was dressed as one.

Alfred stepped from shadow to shadow, gracefully covering the gaps between with agile jumps.

A shadow step, a technique that he learned soon after arriving at the frontlines.

'The army must learn what happened,' Alfred thought, diving towards the city.

His heart was free of hesitation. After what he saw at the frontlines, his perspective on the sect changed. And now, he was willing to put himself in great danger just to provide his companions with some information.

Soon, Alfred reached the city's border. Thankfully, no guard bothered to oversee that part of the town, allowing the sect's elder to sneak between the buildings with no problem whatsoever.
