Chapter 12: Magic Training with Instructor Mana

Good morning, everyone! It's your favorite cuddly in-training vampire princess, Lily! I just woke up and received kisses and cuddles from each of my wives. Now, I'm sharing with them the conversation I had with Rose before falling asleep and revealing what I've decided.

"I'm glad Rose told you. Now we need to decide on a training schedule that won't be too overwhelming for you. What do you think, Princess?" Lucy asked.

"Lucy, Yami, Mana, thank you for your support, but I've decided to work as hard as I can to save Rose. I believe we should split the training into one month each, so I can entirely focus on each subject. Rose suggested starting with Mana's magic training since it's the least harsh on my body. As my body grows stronger, I can handle Lucy and Yami's training better. Does that sound okay to all of you?" I replied.

"That sounds good to me, Lily," Yami said.

"Sounds reasonable. Congratulations, Mana, you get to train our Princess first," Lucy added.

"Hehe, don't be jealous, Lucy. Fair warning, Lily, I'll be a strict instructor this time since we don't have much time," Mana warned.

"Hehe, I'll count on it. But remember, after training, you'll go back to being my sweet Mana, right?" I teased.

"Fufufu, I promise I'll return to being your sweet Mana once training is over. And if you do well and work hard, I'll let you play with my ears as much as you want," Mana teased back.

"Yay! Let's get started then. There's no time to waste. Let's go, Mana!" I exclaimed, grabbing Mana's hand and running off to the magic training field. As we ran, I could hear Yami and Lucy calling out.

"Good luck, Mana. Good luck, my Princess," Yami wished.

"Fufufu, have fun, Mana. Good luck, and work hard, my Princess," Lucy added.

At the magic training field, Mana and I discussed our plans for the first two weeks.

"Are you listening, Lily? I said that during our training, I'm not sure if I want you to call me 'Instructor Mana,' okay?" Mana said.

Honestly, I just want to call her "Instructor Mana" again. It was so cute when I called her that the first time she tutored me. I'm pretty sure that's what Mana is thinking. Poor Mana, she believes only Lucy can read her thoughts, but we all can because it's written all over her face. She's too cute. I need to respond.

"Okay, I will, Instructor Mana. I know you liked it when I called you that before," I said, teasingly.

I saw her cheeks turning red. "Let's get started then. For the next two weeks, we'll work on your magic control and increase your compatibility with each magical element. You'll work on a different element for two hours daily. This will help you avoid collapsing from using too much magical energy when we start learning magical chants. Here's a pop quiz. We covered this before when I was tutoring you. What's the best way to increase your magic control and compatibility with the elements?" Instructor Mana asked.

"The best way is to continuously create a magic barrier out of the element you want to master," I answered confidently.

"Correct, well done, student Lily. Now, here's the second question. Why is creating a magic barrier considered better than continuously shooting out a spell like a fireball?" Instructor Mana asked, smirking.

I smiled back. "Thank you, Instructor Mana. Creating a magic barrier is better because it has a lower mp consumption rate, and it doesn't require a chant to use. The longer you can maintain an elemental barrier, the more your compatibility with that element increases, along with your control over mp consumption."

"Correct again, student Lily! You're so smart. Here's the last question: do you know how to make this form of training even more efficient?" Instructor Mana asked, clearly impressed.

"Hehe, I'm not sure, but the only thing I can think of is continuously having your elemental barrier destroyed by an elemental spell it's weak against until it becomes resilient to that spell," I said, feeling proud of myself for getting it right.

"Wow, that was supposed to be a trick question, but you got it entirely right. Great job, Lily. The pop quiz is over, and you got a perfect score. So let's start training. We'll begin with the element you have the weakest compatibility with and work our way up to the elements that shouldn't take long for you to master and control. We'll start with you creating a dark elemental barrier while I attack it with a light element spell," Instructor Mana explained, and I couldn't wait to get started.

We trained for two hours on each of the six magical elements. By the end of the two weeks, I was exhausted, and Instructor Mana had to carry me back to my bed chambers.

"Well done, Lily! You've exceeded my expectations. You worked hard these last two weeks, and you've successfully increased your compatibility with every element to the max, along with complete control over your mp consumption. Now that your body is stronger, we'll start working on physical enhancement, attack, and stamina healing magic chants. Are you ready?" Instructor Mana asked.

"Hehe, it's all thanks to you being such a great teacher, Instructor Mana. I'm ready to begin," I said with a smile.

Instructor Mana explained that for this training, I would be attacking while she created the barrier. We continued until I could destroy her resilient barrier against the element I was training with a basic attack spell, increasing the power of my attack spells. We also trained my physical enhancement magic, stamina healing magic, and mp control.

By the end of the two weeks, I could maintain my physical enhancement continuously for two hours without tiring or exhausting my mp. My stamina healing magic was phenomenal, and with a short, simple chant, I could completely replenish my lost stamina. To top it off, I could destroy Instructor Mana's strongest barrier with a basic attack spell that her barrier was resilient to.

"I'm disappointed that we won't be able to do the final test I had planned, but it's probably for the best. Lily, please remember this - with great power comes great responsibility. Your magical abilities are too potent to be used against ordinary people. If the time comes during our adventure when we need to confront someone, Lucy, Yami, Rose, or I will handle it. We'll protect you. Promise me that you won't use your powers unless absolutely necessary," Instructor Mana stated.

"I promise, Instructor Mana," I replied, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness.

"Good. Now, I guess it's time to say congratulations, Student Lily! You've successfully passed with a perfect score and graduated from Instructor Mana's magic training camp," Instructor Mana announced, giving me a proud smile.

"Yay, thank you! It's been an honor being trained by you, Instructor Mana," I said, feeling grateful for all the knowledge and skills I gained from her.

"Now it's time to return to being Lily's sweet wife, Mana. Congrats, Lily, you did an amazing job. Let's get you some butterscotch pudding cake. I'll carry you there, and you can play with my ears along the way," Mana said with a playful grin.

"Yay, pudding and mofumofu! Thank you, Mana. Also, thank you for training me for both Rose's and my sake. I love you so much, Mana," I replied, feeling a rush of love and affection for my dear wife.

"Of course, I'd do anything for you. I love you too, my Princess," Mana said, picking me up in a princess carry and giving me a light kiss and hug.

As I snuggled into Mana's embrace, I couldn't help but wonder who my next instructor would be. But for now, I was just happy to celebrate my graduation and indulge in some delicious butterscotch pudding cake.
