It turned out that the very moment Nikolai and Ophelia left from the cave, dragons struck without warning. It didn't appear as though they were aware of Nikolai and Ophelia's movements, but Rhaziel and Sasha took quick care of them. And when the dragon knocked her brother out, that's when Sasha lost her temper.
"Well, this is a sign to leave this mountain." With a sluggish yawn, Nikolai moved to stand behind Ophelia, who was kneeling next to the still sleeping Esmeralda.
"This is a bit worrisome." She mumbled, constantly cocking her head to get a clear view of Esmeralda's face.
"I believe she overexerted herself without realizing it. She will awaken shortly." Rhaziel mumbled as his eyes narrowed, staring out the cave. "I have an unrelenting inclination to purge off these creatures from existence."
Nikolai gasped dramatically, covering Ophelia's ears with his palms. "Do not say something so vulgar."
