Gritting his teeth, Nikolai narrowed his eyes at the large hole his wife had punched into the window above. Ophelia pushed him away without hesitation. Again.
He stood up with a grunt. "Does this count as karma?" He was coming to terms with his situation.
Focusing his gaze on the hole, his heart grew heavier by the second. She really doubted him. She did not believe him. Nevertheless, he vanished, appearing precisely in the space where the window was broken.
She was nowhere to be seen. His expression deepened.
"Pain." He called, his bloodied hands clenched.
The tiger phoenix immediately materialized next to him, seeming to have been roused from a glorious slumber.
"Find her but if you run into him, you are welcome to put him in a critical condition." Nikolai ordered sternly, his eyes darkening.
A flash of excitement lit up Pain's eyes. He lazily stretched out his wings, relaxing with a deep low growl.
