Selene's eyes swept across the gods, narrowing in displeasure. The gods, in turn, didn't bother to conceal their shock and discontent at her sudden arrival.
"Are you here to help him?" Zephyr asked, his brow furrowed in a deep frown.
Selene's attention shifted to Nikolai, who stood frozen, his eyes vacant and lifeless. A faint smile played on her lips as she regarded him.
Unbeknownst to her, Tiana had secretly instructed Nikolai to cease his attack upon seeing Selene, and the goddess's unexpected arrival had caught her off guard.
"I thought we were partners, Zephyr," Selene said, her voice dripping with an air of subtle reprimand.
Zephyr's expression turned grim. "We were, Selene, and we still are – if you intend to destroy him. There's no hope left for him."
The other gods murmured in unanimous agreement, their faces set in determined lines.
