Chapter 66

Juno sat nervously at the corner of the hospital hallway, gazing at the ground intently. There was a heavy sense of guilt hanging over her.

The knowledge that her actions delayed surgery and caused the boy to miss the ideal time for treatment weighed heavily on her heart. In contemplating how to meet him and apologise, her mind was awash with anxiety and determination.

She had rushed to the hospital an hour ago upon learning of his awakening. Yet, she feared facing the boy.

His room's door was partially obscured by that intimidating man and his family, talking passionately about something. From time to time, Juno's eyes flickered towards it. A feeling of envy overtook her as she viewed their close relationship.

Waiting for the boy to become conscious again, she has lost all her vigour and vitality for the past three days. Her mental and physical condition was on the verge of collapse when she told her mother about her neglect toward Noah.
