Kaveh, with a pale face, was still on the bed while Jack sat on a chair with an aching body.
"What is Edwin's condition? Is he okay? You seem to be making a big deal out of this, but why? I don't understand. What exactly did Radin do?" Jack asked in a puzzled tone.
"Why do you care?" Kaveh raised his eyebrow, skeptically.
" Huh? Of course, it is because of Edwin. He is one of the few people with whom I feel a sense of connection."
A sigh of relief escaped Kaveh's lips as he stared into the distance. A part of him feared Jack would find him captivating as he had in the past. In an attempt to learn more about him, he mentioned Edwin as a topic of conversation. That was not because he had grandiosity but because he did not wish to pull Jack down the path of death once again.
