Alessia looks up at the ceiling with a blank face. She can't decide if what she saw, heard, and felt was real. Her head is pounding. If she sits up, she is guaranteed to throw up.
Mania, a Goddess who was influential on her own, probably could wipe out a thousand demon soldiers if it came to it. Yet, a former Titian King stole her powers, and now she is gone. It seems so far fetch that Alessia is having a hard time wrapping her head around what she just dreamt about.
When Alessia started dealing with demons, she thought it was more like the devil, Lucifer, and whatever else that deals with hell. Not Greek, Roman Gods, and she didn't expect things to turn out like this.
How will she deal with such legends that she has read about? Cronus? The big evil God who not only was scared that his children would take over his title, but he ate them! This is becoming far more than what Alessia can handle.
Hopefully, these princes will let her return to the human realm, is Alessia running away again? Possibly. It's the one thing she has done all her life, and that is running away.
Who wouldn't want to run away? If someone were in Alessia's shoes, she would bet they would have already moved to Anatatrica if possible. There wouldn't be any demons lurking there.
Slapping her forehead with the palm of her hand, Alessia tries to quickly knock out all the thoughts hitting her mind.
She needs to calm down and analyze everything right now. There isn't any point in making a rash decision.
"Alessia!" A loud voice yells as the door to her room slams open.
"You are finally awake!' Donn rushes to her side and smiles warmly at her.
"Hi Donn, what happened?" Alessia's voice was drier than she realized.
"You passed out, but you should be okay. I am having a servant bring you some fresh tea."
"Thanks, Donn." She smiles at Donn and glances over his shoulder at Zagreus. His face was blank, with no expression. His arms are crossed with his shirt sleeve rolled up, exposing his forearms.
Recalling Alessia's dream, she feels sad knowing that the Goddess he loved is no longer here or anywhere. She won't be coming back, which breaks her heart.
"I'm sorry." Alessia squeaks out. Tears start rolling down her face. Her emotions she was holding in seem to be breaking, and right now, Alessia isn't sure she can stop them.
"I"m so sorry Zagreus." Blinking through her tears, Alessia tumbles out of bed. Donn tries to catch her, but she shakes him off.
Zagreus's face finally shows concern, confusion, and suspicion. He approaches Alessia as she pushes her body to him.
Grabbing his collar and yanking him toward her, Alessia wraps her tiny arms around him, embracing him in a hug.
"What are you doing, human!?" He wasn't sure what to do, the embrace caught him off guard, and the temptation to throw her off him is running through his fingertips.
He is panicking and looks at Donnn, who rocks back and forth with a smile, enjoying this awkward confrontation.
Alessia lets go of her grip and studies his confused face.
"I had a dream Zagreus, about Mania."
Zagreus freezes, his eyes Alessia carefully. Whatever she has to say, he needs to be careful. She still can't be trusted.
"What did you dream about, Alessia."
She clears her throat and looks between Zagreus and Donn, unsure how to explain what she saw and heard. There is a chance they won't believe her, and what she says will anger and hurt Zagreus more than anything.
But that isn't important. Her heart breaks for him at the same time, though. If what Mania said to her is valid, they have bigger fish to fry.
Cronus.
Alessia puts some space between the boys and sucks in a deep breath. "Mania said that a God name Cronus is coming back." She might as well cut to the choice before bringing the heartbreaking news next.
Zagreus and Donn go perfectly still. The smile that Donn had on his face is gone.
"What do you mean?" Zagerous asks, his eyes glowing with a deeper blue than she has ever seen them.
"Mania wanted me to warn you that he is sucking in power right now, even though he is in Tartarus. A God is helping him." Alessia is starting to feel uncomfortable, the air in the room quickly shifts, and it's becoming suffocating.
"If what you are saying is true, Alessia, how does Mania know this?" Donn chimes in.
Alessia plays with her hands, and she can feel the tears returning. She shakes her head. Her body trembles at the words at the tip of her tongue.
"She is dead. Her remaining powers are gone. I will not be able to dream of her anymore, as Cronus has stolen anything she had left besides what remains in me." Alessia's eyes are blurry, and she can't make out Zagreous or Donn's face.
The feeling in the room, though, is all the needs to tell.
Zagreous bloodlust is aimed at Alessia.
