Unleashing

"Are you sure you don't want to return to the underworld?" Donn asks Alessia as she struggles to walk.

"I'm sure, Donn. The power I unleashed is something that I want to master. If I am stuck in the underworld, I will feel more useless. Demons, ghosts, and supernatural creatures are running wild in the human realm. I want to protect what is here and learn more about this power."

Donn nods his head in understanding.

"I understand your desire to master your powers, but you must remember that it comes with great responsibility. The more powerful you become, the more dangerous the consequences can be if you do not use your powers wisely," Donn warns Alessia.

Alessia nods, fully aware of the risks of mastering her powers. As they walk through a dark alley, they come across demons.

Alessia pauses, and Donn can see the hesitation in her eyes. "I have to do something," she mutters under her breath.

He looks at Alessia and touches her shoulder, "I understand, Alessia, and you will. For now, just trust Zagreus and me. Those small demons you see up ahead. Even though I'm a God, they will still try to attack me. They want my power."

Alessia nods, gripping her hands tightly. She watches as Donn approaches the demons, his eyes glowing fiercely. The demons hiss and snarl, ready to attack, but Donn doesn't flinch.

With a wave of his hand, he sends a burst of energy toward the demons, causing them to scatter in fear. Alessia watches in awe as the demons disappear into the shadows.

"How did you do that?" Alessia asks, still in shock.

Donn smirks, "Being a God has its perks."

Alessia can feel a small wave of envy. She looks towards the shadows and sees the glowing red eyes of the demons hiding in the trees.

"What should we do with them?" Alessia asks Donn.

"You defeat them." Zagreus's voice rings out behind them, making them both jump.

Zagreus looks at Alessia, eyes her body, and shakes his head.

"You are still weak, Alessia," Zagreus sighs.

Alessia grits her teeth, frustrated at Zagreus. Her body is still weak, but she can easily defeat those demons.

Zagreus chuckles, amused by her stubbornness. "Do not push yourself too far. Remember, your powers are not fully under your control yet."

Alessia nods, taking a deep breath and focusing her energy. She closes her eyes and summons a burst of light that engulfs her sword.

Donn and Zagreus watch in amazement as Alessia's power grows stronger with each passing moment. They can feel the heat radiating from her body as she unleashes a wave of energy into the sword.

Alessia opens her eyes to see the demons emerging from the shadows, their eyes glowing red with anger. She grips her sword tightly, her heart racing as she prepares for battle.

With a fierce battle cry, Alessia charges toward the demons, her sword glowing with a bright white light. The demons snarl and prepare to attack, but Alessia moves with swift agility, dodging their attacks and striking back with powerful blows.

As she fights, Alessia can feel her power growing stronger, pulsing through her veins and fueling her every move. She moves with a grace and precision that she never knew she had, her sword slicing through the air with ease.

The demons begin to falter under Alessia's relentless assault, their attacks weakening as she strikes them down one by one. She can see the fear in their eyes as they realize they are no match for her power.

Finally, with a final blow, Alessia strikes the last demon down, her sword glowing brightly.

The power that she is gaining makes her feel more confident. Alessia looks over her shoulders and smiles brightly at Donn and Zagreus.

As Alessia turns around, a wave of pain spreads through her body.

It starts as a dull ache in her chest but quickly intensifies into an all-consuming fire that threatens to consume her. Alessia drops to her knees, gasping for air as the pain wracks her body.

Donn and Zagreus rush to her side, their faces filled with concern.

"Alessia, what's wrong?" Donn asks, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I...I don't know," Alessia gasps, sweat beading her forehead. "It feels like something's tearing me apart from the inside out."

Zagreus places a hand on her forehead and closes his eyes. His brow furrowed in concentration. "I sense a dark power at work here," he says in a low voice. "It's unlike anything I've ever felt before."

Donn draws his sword and looks around, scanning the area for any signs of danger. "We need to get her out of here," he says, his eyes meeting Zagreus.

He nods his head and picks Alessia up.

"We need to leave. Let's return to the underworld. If it's dark power, this may have something to do with Cronus." Zagreus looks down at Alessia. Her face has gone pale.

Alessia nods weakly, clutching onto Zagreus' arm as he leads the way. Donn follows closely, his sword at the ready, scanning the surroundings for signs of danger.

The journey back to the underworld is long and treacherous, as they can't use their normal means to move between realms quickly. Doing so can make whatever dark magic is at play worse.

Alessia's condition worsens with every passing moment. She clings to life desperately, her fingers digging into Zagreus' arm as she gasps for breath.

Finally, they reach the entrance to the underworld, a hollow opening in the ground that leads to a world of darkness and shadow.

Zagreus carries Alessia inside, and they are met by a group of guards who serve under Zagreus who rush to their aid.

"What's wrong with her?" one asks, his voice full of concern.

"It's dark magic," Zagreus replies, his face grim. "We need to find a way to counteract it before it's too late."

The guards take Alessia and place her on a bed when a group of healers enters the room and starts casting spells while Zagreus's face twist with anger. How come he didn't sense the danger? Zagreus, a mighty God, couldn't smell the magic. What is worse, dark magic is forbidden between Gods.

He can feel the anger inside him rising. Zagreus takes deep breaths to calm himself, knowing he needs a clear head to help Alessia. Even though he is a God, he can't perform healing spells or help relieve her pain. His power is only for one purpose: to keep the demons and evil beings in check.

He watches the healers work tirelessly, their spells and potions filling the room with thick, acrid smoke. Sweat beads on their foreheads as they chant in unison, their eyes fixed on Alessia.

After what feels like hours, Alessia's breathing finally evens out, and the pain fades from her face.

Zagreus exhales a deep breath of relief, looking down at her. "How do you feel?" he asks, his voice low.

Alessia opens her eyes and smiles weakly. "Better," she whispers.

Zagreus nods. His face is solemn. "We need to figure out who did this to you," he says, his eyes flashing angrily.

"We will," Donn agrees, his voice firm. "We'll find them and make them pay for what they've done."

Alessia nods weakly.

"Thank you." Alessia eyes feel heavy, and her body is weak. After using so much power and dark magic coming out of nowhere. Her body needs rest.

Even after defeating demons, she was useless against magic. Alessia is feeling a wave of pity and anger. The realization is she is still weak.

There is no telling how long she will have to rest and regain her energy. There could be more demons popping up in the human realm. Cronus could be a step closer to being free.

Alessia knew that time was of the essence. She couldn't afford to waste a single moment. She took a deep breath and tried to focus her thoughts. There were still many unanswered questions that lingered in her mind.

Who was behind the sudden influx of demon activity in the human realm? And what was the reason behind it? She knew that she needed to find out more about the dark magic that had suddenly emerged out of nowhere.

The biggest question running through her head is, who is trying to bring Cronus back, and why are they so afraid of Mania's power that Alessia now has?
