About d*mn time. I barreled through the magical barrier Piper and her sisters had erected around Ivy. My flesh sizzled from whatever spell they were casting, but my bloodlust propelled me forward. Trent and Colt appeared beside me, and they each grabbed one of Ivy's arms. 


"Rot in h*ll, Ivy." I snarled, fangs bared, then slammed my fist into her chest and yanked her heart out. 


Instantly, the magic around us vanished, and the air was deathly still. I dropped Ivy's heart. Just like that, within seconds, she was dead.
