Chapter 161: Jax: Leaving Breadcrumbs, Part 2

Ricky came to a stop in front of the lobby and eased the truck into park. I opened the door, climbed out, and then offered my hand to Piper to help her out. Once she was, I closed the door and wrapped my arms around her.

"Go in and get us a room. Be sure to use our real names." I brushed a strand of hair from her forehead. "I'll make sure Ricky is paid to go get our car."

Nodding, Piper stifled a yawn. Part of me wanted to change my mind, to tell her to get a room using fake names so we could both rest, but that was much too dangerous. If we made even the smallest mistake right now, we'd both be captured. I'd probably be killed on the spot, and God only knew what they'd do to Piper. I wasn't about to find out.

"I love you," she whispered a second before pressing a kiss to my lips.

"I love you, too." I kissed her back, then mumbled quietly against her lips, "I need a set of keys to give Ricky."
