Once they returned to the rented house, it was already past midnight. As soon as they entered, Xiao Yu's face turned crimson, and she quickly went into the bathroom with her bag of clothes.
After a while, running water could be heard from the bathroom. Chen Mo sat in front of the computer and sent the finished mobile phone design and interface design information to Zhao Min's email.
Once he had sent the information to Zhao Min, Chen Mo continued with the circuit design. After a relaxing day, the memory of these circuits was clearer in his mind.
Lost in his work, Chen Mo was startled by the sound of footsteps in the room. He turned around, his eyes widening in surprise.
She wore the newly bought nightdress, the thin straps exposing her long, slender legs. Her skin was smooth and fair, emitting a gentle scent that wafted through the air, captivating anyone who caught a whiff.
But before he could wander too far in his imagination, Chen Mo returned to reality and focused on Xiao Yu.
"Where's the hair dryer?" Xiao Yu noticed Chen Mo's intense gaze, and her eyes fluttered, tugging slightly at the hem of her nightdress. This was the first time she had worn such a revealing outfit in front of a boy; even if he was her boyfriend, she felt slightly uncomfortable.
"It's in the closet. I'll help you dry your hair," Chen Mo replied.
Xiao Yu didn't refuse and blushed, sitting on the sofa as Chen Mo was drying her hair.
"You've tricked me again," Xiao Yu said, a hint of playfulness in her voice.
"It's your fault for not reminding me about the time," Chen Mo said, smiling casually.
"You knew the time, but you deliberately didn't tell me. I wanted to surprise you. Now I've decided to hold It for now," Xiao Yu pouted, her nose wrinkling.
"Nooo, I won't make the same mistake again."
"It's useless to admit your mistakes now."
A mischievous smile tugged at the corner of Xiao Yu's mouth as she enjoyed Chen Mo blowing her hair.
After finishing drying her hair, Xiao Yu said nothing, skillfully evading Chen Mo's playful advances and slipping into the room.
Chen Mo caught a glimpse of Xiao Yu's back, smiled softly, grabbed two pieces of clothing, and entered the bathroom. After a short while, he emerged from the bathroom wearing loose pants and dried his hair before entering the room.
As the door to the room opened, Xiao Yu's eyes were fixed on it.
Shirtless Chen Mo entered, revealing a well-defined physique with noticeable abdominal muscles.
Realizing that she had been caught staring, Xiao Yu blushed, the redness creeping up to the roots of her ears. When she returned to her senses, Chen Mo lay beside her.
Seeing her bashful expression, Chen Mo chuckled.
The dimmed lights envelop the room in darkness. Only the faint light from the window illuminated their faces, allowing them to see each other.
As Chen Mo pulled Xiao Yu closer, he could sense the tension in her body.
"Chen Mo, I have something to say." Xiao Yu said.
"What happened?" Chen Mo inquired.
"I'm in my period."
"And yet you still went wild? You still went to the beach at night; why didn't you tell me? Are you feeling uncomfortable now?"
Hearing Chen Mo's string of questions, his voice tinged with concern, Xiao Yu's heart warmed, and she nestled into his arms. "It's nothing; it's not as serious as you think. Walking on the beach is normal. It happens occasionally, and there's no need to use cold water."
"In that case, you should go to sleep, and you shouldn't stay up too late." Chen Mo said, soothing Xiao Yu and dispelling any lingering concerns.
With nothing but the serenity of the night, Chen Mo didn't know when he fell asleep, but this slumber brought him a deep sense of peace.
When Chen Mo woke up, Xiao Yu was no longer there.
Getting up from the bed, he tapped his head lightly and dragged his body out of the room.
"You're finally awake. Wash your face and have breakfast, or it will get cold." Xiao Yu, sitting on the sofa with her computer watching a movie, looked up at him.
"Why didn't you sleep a little longer? Are you feeling all right?"
"I'm fine." Xiao Yu smiled upon hearing Chen Mo's concerned tone.
After washing up, Chen Mo sat on the sofa and enjoyed breakfast. Xiao Yu had already done the laundry and cleaned the house.
It was such a simple and pleasant day. In the meantime, Chen Mo was contemplating how to persuade Xiao Yu to move in with him and share their lives.
"Chen Mo, I heard that you rented a shop on the food street," Xiao Yu said, interrupting his daydreaming.
"How did you find out?"
"Heh, Auntie told me. She often goes there to buy food and mentioned that she saw you. I wasn't sure, so I didn't ask you about it after taking the accountant exam two days ago. Can you take me to see the shop today?"
"Sure."
After breakfast, Chen Mo took Xiao Yu's hand and left the rented house.
As Chen Mo and Xiao Yu walked along the street, the aunt from the neighboring grocery store glanced at them head to toe.
"Young man, is this your girlfriend? She's a beautiful girl. Instead of playing games, work more and earn more money. Don't let a good girl like her slip away from you."
"Uh?" Chen Mo looked at Xiao Yu, who was grinning and feeling slightly embarrassed. "Yes."
"Come on in, let's chat." The grocery store aunt noticing that there were customers, quickly left the two of them and returned to her store.
"You have such a good girl. Don't let her suffer by your side," Xiao Yu remarked. Chen Mo looked at Xiao Yu, speechless.
"Do you often play games here?"
In an instant, Xiao Yu gave Chen Mo a mischievous look.
"No, I sit at the computer every day and write code. She thinks I'm playing games," Chen Mo shrugged and unlocked the shop door with his key. "This is the shop I rented, my dear."
As Xiao Yu looked at the tools and computers inside the shop, she blinked and asked, "So you took over a repair shop? You repair phones?"
"Phone repair? Great, boss, can you help me? My phone suddenly went black and won't turn on. I need it fixed urgently. Can you help me right now?"A girl passing by interrupted their conversation and handed her phone to Chen Mo.
With the phone forcibly placed in his hand, Chen Mo's mouth twitched as he looked at Xiao Yu.
Xiao Yu blinked back at him innocently.
"Don't lie; hurry up and help me fix it. Aren't you running a business?" Xiao Yu pushed Chen Mo towards the workbench.
"All right, I'll fix it," Chen Mo chuckled and began to examine the phone.
"Don't stare at me, and help her fix it. Don't you want to do business?" Xiao Yu pushed Chen Mo towards the workbench.
"All right, I'll fix it," Chen Mo chuckled and began to disassemble the phone.
"How much will it cost to fix it?" The girl suddenly remembered to ask.
In the past, the previous owner of this shop charged exorbitant prices, which deterred many people. Now that a new owner is in charge, she is concerned about the cost.
"There's no hardware issue with your phone. It's most likely a system problem. I can reinstall the system for you. It won't be expensive, just five dollars," Chen Mo replied after considering it.
"Great, thank you so much." The girl was relieved to hear the price and agreed to the repair.
Fifteen minutes later, he pressed the power button and saw the phone screen light up. Chen Mo returned the phone to the relieved girl anxiously waiting.
"Thank you!" The girl placed five dollars on the table and quickly left with her phone.
As soon as the girl left, Chen Mo looked around for Xiao Yu.
At that moment, Xiao Yu was busy wiping off the dust from the machines, with beads of sweat forming on her forehead. Chen Mo felt a twinge of concern for her.
He wanted to tell Xiao Yu that he doesn't actually repair mobile phones. However, if he mentioned it now, he knew it would lead to a commotion. After some thought, Chen Mo decided to keep it to himself for now.
"Let me clean up here."
"But I'm already done," Xiao Yu said, dropping her rag. "You can continue working here. I need to head back to the dormitory."
After helping Chen Mo tidy up the shop, Xiao Yu bid farewell and left. Once she was gone, Chen Mo focused on the computer in his hand and began organizing the design for the mobile phone motherboard.
