The Battle Within

The World System waited as the countdown ticked down.

In just another half a minute, the problem would be dealt with.

However, as the seconds passed, The World System sensed something was wrong. Definitely wrong.

[But why is the command still working then?] It spoke in wonder.

The world System realized if it didn't do anything, things would become worse.

[The last option then.] It muttered.

Then it directly flew toward baby Samiel and touched his forehead. Upon touching, it was directly sucked into the head.

The room was still silent.

But baby Samiel's heavy breaths and heartbeats were audible.

Samiel was still crazily absorbing the white light unaware that he alerted the World System.

After about thirty seconds, he nearly absorbed 50% of the white light.

Thus he continued.

All of a sudden, a white portal opened above.

An entity shrouded in light appeared in his Mind Space.

It was none other than the World System.

It looked at its surroundings. It could have frowned if it was human.

[This place… is dark.] It muttered after a while. [I can't see anything.]

[Strange…]

Then it looked more below and then spotted Samiel's soul, which was covered in white light.

[What is he doing?] The World System thought.

[Wait!] It exclaimed as it realized what is happening.

[He is absorbing it?!] It exclaimed in shock. [How?]

[But I need to stop it.] It spoke and its 'hand' pointed at Samiel.

[**** Authority: Stop!]

[Why it's not working?] The World System asked itself.

[Even the strongest entity in this world, the Demon Monarch can't go against my authority.] It thought.

No matter how hard it thought, it couldn't find the right answer. Millions of possibilities crossed its mind. But it was to no avail.

Then it looked at the countdown.

[I need-]

Swoosh!

Before it could speak any further, the space shook violently.

Then all the 'air', the things, including the World System started to fly Samiel.

[What! He wants to absorb me as well!] The World System shouted enraged.

[You forced me to do this.] It spoke coldly.

[**** Authority: Full Attack Mode!]

As it commanded, it stopped from being sucked toward Samiel.

It coldly 'looked' at Samiel.

[Begone.]

It muttered.

Samiel was still absorbing the energy, his mind was fully occupied with not stopping.

Maybe that's why, he didn't sense the commotion in his Mind Space.

Besides, he already forgot nearly all of his past life memories.

Only his babyhood was still there, but it couldn't help him any bit.

Heck, he even forgot how to speak and properly think.

He was doing everything by instinct.

Suddenly, a light flashed and enveloped his vision. He felt his soul was about to dissipate at any moment.

All of his mind powers collected and served him as a shield. But it shattered in the next second.

"Urgh…"

The light totally enveloped him.

"ARGH!"

[Begone.]

After its command, the World System silently watched as Samiel's soul started to disappear slowly.

It didn't want to do this, but the human below him left it no choice.

Now, since the problem was about to be finished, the World System decided to exit from this place.

Or else, its command could harm it too. This was how powerful its attack was.

[Let's g-]

Swish!

Suddenly, something entangled the World System. And stopped it from moving.

[Huh?]

Clatter! Clang! X12

The voices' number grew further.

In less than a second, The World System's body was entangled in a net of chains.

Blood red chains! No, it was more red than blood and a darker type.

[I-I can't mo-!] The World System's voice was cut off.

[Mhmm! Mmm!] It tried to speak but all of its efforts were futile.

"**** Prison."

A cold, indifferent, and emotionless voice echoed through the space.

The World System stopped struggling and looked in the voice's direction.

More precisely at Samiel's soul.

[How? Didn't I already-?] The system thought inwardly.

It already stopped being shocked.

[So how?]

Soon, the white light that was covering Samiel's soul dissipated, no, absorbed.

Samiel's eyelids twitched a little.

Snap!

With a sudden snap, his eyes opened.

Instead of his light blue eyes, red, blood-red eyes were replacing them.

Then Samiel looked at the World System's direction.

Looking at Samiel's eyes, the World System sensed an emotion it hadn't felt for a long time, millenniums.

It felt FEAR!

As it looked at Samiel's eyes, The World System felt it was being devoured, its soul being sucked and sank into darkness, into the abyss.

No words were enough to describe this feeling.

Samiel spoke once again, his right hand pointed at the World System's body. His right hand was in a grasping motion.

Swoosh!

With a strong suction force, the World System's body flew toward Samiel.

The World System didn't show any resistance. Since it knew it was futile.

It only regretted coming here with its real body. Had it been its clone, it would have only received a little backslash even if it died in the process.

However, it had a strong feeling that even if it was its clone, these chains would probably be able to find its real body.

And at the thought of this, it shivered.

However, as it was about ten meters away from Samiel's grasp, something unexpected happened one more time.
