Chapter 147: Hellfire Club (1)

Nevada, Las Vegas!

Bright lights light up the city, and the streets are filled with colorful lights. Since this is a gambling city, the main buildings are casinos, and you can see one almost every few steps.

The people coming and going are either wealthy people or high classes, enjoying the greatest pleasures that money can buy.

Of course, there are also ordinary people, many of them are wannabe gamblers who hope to get rich overnight. Sadly, the result for ninety-nine percent of them is bankruptcy or even disappearing completely.

Behind this place's luxurious style are a lot of bad things.

Jack lightly walks down the street while holding a bucket of popcorn. He eats it while watching his surroundings with interest.

He looks just like an ordinary tourist.

However, his eyes are mainly focused on the hostesses at the entrances of the casinos.

There is a lot of competition between the casinos in Las Vegas, so many waitresses wear revealing clothes, and some even wear almost nothing.

Jack can't help but wonder, aren't they cold in the late evening?

However, this doesn't stop him from appreciating and criticizing.

Speaking of which, his self-control has been worsening since he experienced the pleasures of being with Diana.

But it's understandable, after all, he's a young man with plenty of energy.

He does want to let off some steam, but the problem is that he doesn't have a suitable partner.

Wanda is out of the question, even though she wouldn't refuse if he asked. But she's still too young, so maybe in a couple of years.

As for finding someone outside... forget it, he doesn't like fast food.

Sigh~

He can only hold it in.

As Jack walks slowly and finishes his popcorn, he finds himself across from a club.

"I wonder if she's in there!"

He looks up at the big neon sign above the club's door excitedly.

He then throws away the empty bucket of popcorn, claps his hands, and starts crossing the street, ready to go inside.

However, he is stopped at the entrance.

"I'm sorry, sir, this club only caters to members or those with an invitation."

Unlike other places, the guard at the club is actually a guy. He kindly puts out his hand to stop Jack and puts a professional smile on his face.

"Invitation?"

Jack looks around somewhat bewildered, and indeed, some people are only allowed in after showing an invitation.

"Alright."

Jack turns around to leave; he doesn't have an invitation.

However, he can have one.

A few minutes later, Jack returns, holding an identical invitation in his hand.

The guard gives him a strange look, takes the invitation, verifies its authenticity, and pushes open the glass door behind him.

"Welcome to the Hellfire Club, Mr. Curtis!"

"Thank you."

Jack politely expresses his gratitude and steps into the Hellfire Club.

Of course, he is not Mr. Curtis; he simply borrowed the invitation.

As for the real Mr. Curtis... well, he probably hasn't woken up yet.

When you enter into the club, it is quiet and not very crowded. As he walks down a long hallway with a set of doors at the end, you can hear music and people talking from inside.

As Jack approaches, a waiter opens the door for him.

Behind the door is another world—a two-story hall. The first floor houses typical casino offerings and some private rooms where people can engage in activities without interruption.

The second floor includes a row of luxury seats where those exhausted from downstairs can relax a bit.

Jack appears on the second floor, leaning against the railing and observing the lively scene below. He can't help but shake his head and sigh.

"The corruption of money."

The people coming and going below are either high-ranking politicians, billionaires, or descendants of famous families. To put it bluntly, if you were to throw a brick down there, chances are you wouldn't see the sun tomorrow.

After watching for a while, Jack doesn't spot the person he's looking for, and his brow furrows.

Just as he is about to go downstairs to take a look, a strange force suddenly envelops him, attempting to penetrate his mind.

Jack knows who is causing trouble. However, he doesn't rush to find the person.

He calmly walks down to the first floor and gets a bottle of wine and two glasses from a waiter. He casually finds an unoccupied private room and enters.

During this time, the force continues its stubborn attempt to penetrate his mind. Jack doesn't completely block it, knowing it will eventually give up. As expected, the force mysteriously disappears after realizing it cannot break through Jack's mind.

Jack opens the brought bottle of wine and pours it into the two glasses. He rests his legs on the table in front of him and patiently waits.

Meanwhile, deep within the Hellfire Club, in a highly secretive office.

"How is this possible?"

A beautiful woman dressed in white leather pants and a white leather jacket lowers her hands. She furrows her brow, her face showing a mix of surprise and confusion.

As the White Queen of the Hellfire Club, Emma Frost has had an easy life due to her ability—telepathy.

No one can escape her telepathic abilities, not even the Black King himself. And now, there's actually someone whose mind she can't sense?

This is not a small matter. The other person is clearly a mutant, appearing suddenly in their territory, and she doesn't even know if they are friend or enemy.

To make matters worse, the Red Devil and the Whirlwind have been taken away by the Black King. Emma Frost is now the only one left in the Hellfire Club.

She's not a fighter; she relies on her abilities. With her powers useless, she can only rely on her diamond form. She's unsure if that will be enough to handle this unexpected visitor.

However, based on the visitor's current actions, there doesn't seem to be any hostility. He even opened a bottle of wine as if waiting for her.

Meet him or not?

After a brief consideration, Emma makes her decision.

There are too many secrets within the Hellfire Club. She can't just run away. So, there's only one option... to keep the meeting.

With her decision made, Emma takes a deep breath, stands up, and slowly removes her leather jacket...

Meanwhile, Jack is becoming impatient after waiting for so long. He ignores the third wave of people attempting to enter the room.

He decides to wait for another five minutes, and if the other person doesn't show up, he will go directly to her!

"Hello, sir. Can I come in?"

Jack, who was looking up at the ceiling, instinctively wanted to drive the person away. However, the other person seemed unaware and had already entered.

He lowered his head to look at her, and his words of release instantly stuck in his throat.

"Um... Wow!"

With a mixture of appreciation and astonishment in his eyes, Jack stared dumbfounded at the White Queen standing in front of him in a cool, suit-like outfit.

Gulp.

Jack swallowed hard, trying to put out the flames that were slowly starting to grow in his deep heart.

He admitted that he was tempted, something he would never have been before.

But now...

After having a taste, he had only one question in mind.

Is this fruit... mature enough to be enjoyed?
