Real Plan?
Emma suddenly couldn't stop feeling like something was about to happen. If it were possible to know what Sebastian's plan, working with him might not be bad.
At first, Emma and Shaw worked together because their goals were the same. Also, the rough times she went through as a kid made Emma really need a friend.
Their relationship wasn't as close as others might have thought.
In reality, deep down in her heart, Emma had always been cautious and even scared of Shaw.
When she first joined the Hellfire Club, she quietly learned about Shaw's past and how he got his abilities through experiments on mutants.
During that time, Emma even considered leaving the Hellfire Club.
However, she later discovered that Shaw treated his companions well, and she could control his thoughts whenever needed and felt that there was no upcoming danger.
She decided to stay.
Now, hearing Jack's analysis, Emma, who understood Shaw, felt that he might be hiding something from her.
If Jack could reveal Shaw's real plan to her, it didn't seem like a bad idea.
After thinking about all of these things, Emma nodded and said yes to Jack's offer. Jack suddenly raised his face as she was about to ask about how it would be done.
"They're back."
Jack sensed the spatial disturbance and immediately noticed Shaw and the other two appearing in the area.
He looked at Emma and said, "Since you have no questions, we can begin."
After he was done talking, Jack raised his hand a little without waiting for Emma to answer.
Immediately, a transparent water flow, as clear as glass, wrapped around Emma from bottom to top. After trembling slightly, it returned to normal.
And Emma had already disappeared.
After doing this, Jack put his hand on the empty glass in the middle of the table.
With the sound of rotation, the entire private room where Jack was located turned around and transformed into an office.
Jack stood up and walked confidently towards the office's bookshelf without hesitation. He directly bumped into the bookshelf as if passing through a shelf.
Behind the shelves was a large room where people could meet.
The surroundings were heavily decorated, with flames burning in the fireplace and relaxing music playing from an old-fashioned record player.
In the middle, there was a circle of sofas and a glass coffee table. Next to it was a bar counter with a collection of different drinks, including some Lafite Rothschild from '82.
Jack felt like he had entered his own home, walking straight to the bar counter.
He took out four empty glasses from below and looked at the drinks cabinet, thought for a moment before finally grabbing a bottle of vodka.
As he slowly poured the four glasses of alcohol, there was a sudden light slam near the sofa, and a burst of red mist appeared out of thin air.
The red mist quickly dissipated, revealing three men in tailored suits.
One of them had red skin, resembling a devil, with even a sharp tail.
As soon as the three men appeared, they noticed Jack. There was no way to avoid it, they were facing him directly as soon as they appeared.
However, they didn't panic. Although they were curious about how a stranger had come here, they were confident and didn't take Jack seriously at all.
Shaw waved his hand, telling Azazel to wait, while he adjusted his suit and calmly walked up to Jack. He glanced at the four glasses on the table, and a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.
"Please!"
Jack put down the bottle and raised one of the glasses, gesturing towards Shaw.
Shaw always had a gentle smile on his face, giving people a friendly feeling. No matter who saw him for the first time, it would be impossible to identify him as a killer.
He calmly raised his glass and lightly clinked it with Jack's, taking a sip and saying.
"Vodka, one of my favorite drinks. You have good taste."
"Thank you."
Jack drank the alcohol from his glass in one gulp, then refilled it and said,
"The first glass was my way of apologizing for trespassing without an invitation. Now, this second glass is my token of gratitude."
With that, he swallowed the entire glass.
"A token of gratitude?" Shaw raised an eyebrow, understanding the first part but feeling a bit puzzled by the second.
He didn't consider himself a good person, and he could count on one hand the number of times he had heard someone say thank you to him in his life.
Jack's words left him genuinely confused him.
"Yes, a token of gratitude," Jack replied, setting down his glass and shrugging. "Back then, I was weak, like an ant. It was your power that gave me the ability to survive. It has also saved me many times, and the help has been important. And I feel I should express my gratitude to you as the provider. Don't you agree?"
As soon as those words were spoken, Shaw's expression changed slightly, his smile fading away. His pupils contracted rapidly, and even Riptide and Azazel grew tense.
Shaw's ability? No one knew about Shaw's ability except for a few of them. Who was this person? How did he know?
Could it be Emma?
The first person Shaw thought of was Emma. Among the three who knew his secret, she was the most likely to reveal it. And with her absence at the moment, Shaw felt that the possibility was even greater.
"Are you looking for the White Queen?" Jack suddenly spoke. "Well, it's a pity. She might never hear your voice again."
Shaw's expression completely changed and his smile vanished.
He glanced back at Azazel, who nodded and disappeared in a flash. After a few breaths, he reappeared, showing a serious expression and shaking his head at Shaw.
The White Queen wasn't at the club!
Shaw's face changed, and his gaze toward Jack was filled with caution.
There was no reason for the White Queen to leave the club. Now that she was missing, and this person was here so frankly...
Shaw had already thought of the worst thing that could happen.
"Her abilities can be troublesome. Telepathy and Organic Diamond Form. Do you know how much effort I put into dealing with her?" Jack suddenly raised his hand, and a diamond rolled and spun over to Shaw's side.
Shaw didn't even need to look to know that it belonged to Emma.
The atmosphere instantly became intense. No one spoke; they just stared at each other.
Bang
A light sound broke the atmosphere. A burst of red mist suddenly appeared behind Jack, and in the next moment, Azazel had two sharp daggers aiming for the temples on both sides of Jack's head!
At the same time, Riptide raised his hand, and a powerful blast of air instantly spread towards Jack.
Shaw didn't just do nothing; he reached for Jack's neck with one hand.
Unfortunately, they were facing Jack!
"Hehe."
Facing this aggressive attack, Jack smiled with disdain. A strange green gleam suddenly flashed in his eyes.
In the next moment, time in the entire room was directly paused. Azazel's daggers, Shaw's hand, Riptide's tornado—all came to a stop when they were just a hair's breadth away from Jack
They themselves were frozen as well.
Time freeze!
A power that a lot of people wanted to have.
