Crack!
The cocoon got a hole, which spread quickly and could be seen.
Snap!
Like shattered glass, the cocoon exploded, and inside a hail of golden lights, Vision's figure gradually became clear.
As time passed and the lights went out, there was only one Vision left.
He was the same as before, except that his forehead was covered in an unknown red gem rather than a Mind Stone.
"Vision!"
Wanda looked at Vision, feeling like she was in a dream.
Flashes of memories from their past went through her thoughts and stopped at the moment when Thanos killed him.
Now that Vision was alive in front of her, she reached out tremblingly to touch him, but she was scared that it was all a dream.
Perhaps Wanda's call awakened him as Vision's eyelids twitched and slowly opened.
"Wanda?"
Vision was still a little confused about what had happened. He looked at Wanda with a confused face, not sure why she was so emotional.
Then, the past scenes flashed through his mind, and he quickly understood what had happened.
He recalled the despair and sorrow that Wanda had sent him off with, the helplessness she had shown by using magic to resurrect him.
The look in Vision's eyes as he gazed at Wanda was filled with love.
"Wanda, I'm back!"
"Welcome back!"
Seeing the embrace of the couple, Jack turned away and had a strange expression on his face.
This feeling was too weird...
It felt like he was willingly placing a hat on himself.
He was glad that she was not his Wanda, so he had to accept it.
After a moment of longing, the couple finally separated.
Vision came in front of Jack, solemnly extending his hand.
"Thank you very much for your help."
"...No need to thank me."
Jack coughed twice, shook hands with Vision, and then said, "Bring your children out. After completing this last task, I will return."
"Children?"
Vision was still a bit puzzled, but Wanda seemed to be thinking something.
Soon, two kids came down from the second floor and stood in front of Jack.
Without saying a word, Jack extended his hand and placed it on the heads of the two children.
He used his power while they were looking worried and uncomfortable.
Snap!
Snap!
The two kids made the sound of a broken rope, and then there was a flickering white light that filled the entire living room.
Wanda and Vision were a little nervous, but they decided to trust Jack.
When the light faded, the couple realized that nothing had changed.
"Alright."
Jack retracted his hand and let out a sigh.
"I cut the soul link with Mephisto and reshaped their souls. Now they are living, breathing children."
"What does that mean?"
Vision was still puzzled, but Wanda understood.
"Thank you."
She sincerely thanked Jack.
"No need to thank me. Consider it... small healing."
Jack waved his hand to show that there was no need.
In the comics, Wanda and Vision's two children were actually fragments of Mephisto's soul, and it was the same here.
With just one glance, he saw through the identities of the two children.
They were not only creations of Wanda's magic but also fragments of Mephisto's soul.
And he had forcibly cut their connection with Mephisto and reshaped their souls, turning them from mere magical creations into real people.
It was quite easy to do so, but he estimated that Mephisto would be furious this time.
As expected, Mephisto, who had just left Earth, could feel it in some strange place in space. Even though it did not change him much, it still made him very angry.
When was the last time the Lord of Hell had to deal with such humiliation?
Keeping this grudge in his heart made him hate Jack more than ever.
Back on Earth, Jack was ready to leave.
The situation here was all resolved, Wanda had lifted the magic, and Westview had returned to its normal state.
Tyler had wanted to do something, but before he could take action, he was arrested by the agents who arrived later.
S.H.I.E.L.D. was still a government organization after all.
The more interesting part was the people in town.
They had clear memories of being manipulated, and although Jack had expected them to be angry, the result of events surprised him a little.
But what was surprising was that most people were actually grateful to Wanda.
The reason was that she helped them fulfill their dreams, even if they were fake.
For example, Mrs. Hart reunited with her dead husband, the disillusioned piano teacher became a performer in the illusion, and the pizza delivery guy became a mailman.
Many people in Westview had wishes, and Wanda helped them fulfill those wishes.
For them, this period of time felt like a beautiful dream, and they didn't want to wake up.
The problem in Westview was resolved, and Jack bid farewell to everyone and opened a portal to leave this universe.
...
In Jack's universe's Westview.
At this point, it had returned to normal, and the town's citizens seemed to have no memory of what had happened before and were living their normal lives.
A few S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were in the town, but other than that, not much had changed.
Nick Fury stood in the middle of the road with his hands on his hips, frowning and looking puzzled.
"How's it going?"
He turned to Coulson and asked.
"No leads yet. We only detected powerful cosmic radiation remains here. As for the rest, we're still not sure."
Phil shook his head and then whispered, "Should we tell Nick? After all, a living person has gone missing."
"Let's not tell him for now. Otherwise, he'll annoy the hell out of me."
Nick Fury sighed heavily, about to say something, when Jack's voice sounded behind him.
"I think he might ignore you and think I'm in trouble. Didn't Nick tell you about me?"
The two turned around, and Jack stood there with his hands in his coat pockets, observing "Nick Fury" and "Coulson" with a scrutinizing gaze.
"Good thing you're okay."
'Nick Fury' secretly breathed a sigh of relief and glanced at 'Coulson.'
"On another note, how did you figure it out?"
He spoke quietly as if afraid of being heard.
"Figure out what? That you guys are fake?"
Jack looked at the other person and teased, "I knew from the beginning. After all, the real Nick Fury wouldn't look like a starving ghost reincarnated."
"Uh..."
When hearing this, 'Nick Fury' twitched his face, feeling a bit embarrassed, and lowered his head.
Beside him, 'Coulson' rolled his eyes and let out a long sigh.
"Alright, the matters here are resolved. It's up to you guys now. Goodbye."
After saying that, Jack disappeared in a flash.
"... That power is really useful."
"Do you want it?"
"Don't you?"
"..."
Ignoring the conversation between the two, when Jack returned home, he encountered another troublesome matter.
