"What's going on?"
Hippolyta furrowed her brow and asked.
Antiope knew what she was referring to and replied with a heavy tone, "I discovered this thing while patrolling. I sent warriors to investigate, but every one of them, including their horses, collapsed mysteriously within a ten-meter radius of the sphere."
"I tried using a lasso to rescue one of them and found that they were only unconscious. Since we couldn't understand what was happening, I had to come to you."
Antiope's voice was filled with helplessness as she finished speaking.
Hippolyta glanced at her sister, seemingly understanding her thoughts, and shook her head decisively.
"No! It's not possible!"
"But we have no other options!"
Antiope was seriously persuaded, "I tried to attack the sphere, but it had no effect. And you know what that aura represents, don't you?"
Hippolyta gazed at the sphere for a while before murmuring, "First, use the lasso to rescue the warriors. We'll figure out the rest later."
Seeing her sister's stubbornness, Antiope could only sigh and instruct the remaining warriors to save the others.
Buzz!!
However, as the rescue team, under Antiope's leadership, drew nearer, the sphere above suddenly began sending out patterns that Antiope and the others could not see.
In an instant, the rescue group, which had been moving slowly forward, fell down and stopped moving, just like the fighters before them.
Even the powerful Antiope couldn't escape its effect. Witnessing this scene, Hippolyta's face turned pale.
She realized that if they could not figure out what was wrong with this sphere and the people beneath it, this range of unconsciousness might spread throughout the entire Themyscira.
Hippolyta was scared to think about what would happen, and she could not wait any longer.
She ordered the surviving guards around her, "Find Diana! Quickly!"
The guards left to do what they were told, leaving Hippolyta alone on the beach to watch with worry.
Not long after, the guards returned with a young girl who was as pretty as an elf. Her half-body armor showed a big area of her fair skin, and her short leather skirt showed off her long, thin legs.
Her long hair was casually tied into a ponytail at the back of her head, simple yet beautiful.
If Jack were there, he would know without a doubt that she was Diana.
However, Diana looked young and ignorant compared to her mature and attractive future self.
From a distance, she saw what was going on on the beach. Her face was serious, and she wanted to go over.
"Diana!"
Hippolyta called out to her, and the two met up.
Diana asked, "Mother, what's happening? Are they still alive? What is that thing?"
She was deeply concerned for the safety of her fellow Amazons, but she was also curious about the large sphere that had appeared.
Hippolyta looked at Diana with a complicated gaze and spoke earnestly, "Listen, Diana, I need you to go over and rescue our people."
"I would be glad to."
Diana agreed without hesitation. Even if her mother hadn't asked, she would have run anyway.
However, just as Diana was about to go, Hippolyta grabbed her arm and said, "Wait, listen carefully. Everyone who has approached that sphere has lost consciousness."
She pointed to the fallen Amazon warriors and spoke with concern, "You are the most special among us. I'm not certain if you will be affected, but... we have no other choice left."
"I'm special?"
What her mother said surprised Diana. Even though she did not think she was special, if her mother said so, it must be true.
She would still go, even if her mother said nothing about it.
Diana walked toward the beach as Hippolyta looked at her with worry in her eyes.
Soon, she reached the nearest fallen warrior. Strangely, Diana didn't faint like the others on the ground.
She knelt down to look at the warrior, who was unconscious, and found her sleeping calmly, breathing normally, and with a rosy face.
There was even a slight smile on her lips.
She must be having a pleasant dream.
Diana thought to herself as she stood up and continued forward.
She needed to understand what the sphere was all about, or else such incidents might happen again.
Looking at the floating sphere in the sky, Diana also caught a glimpse of the figures inside.
The closer Diana got to the sphere, the more she felt a mysterious sensation.
She couldn't quite describe it, but as she approached the sphere, her heart filled with excitement and expectation, as if something shocking was about to happen.
She didn't know what was going on, but with a complicated look in her eyes, she took step after step towards the sphere.
Hippolyta, watching from a distance, breathed a slight sigh of relief when she saw that her daughter didn't faint like Antiope.
But as Diana approached the sphere, her heart tensed again, afraid that something might happen to her.
By now, Diana had reached directly beneath the sphere, and as she looked up, being so close, she could see more clearly.
There was indeed a person inside.
And, as expected, it was a man.
Diana watched him with curiosity, but she could not see his face clearly. For some reason, though, she felt like she knew him.
At that moment, the person inside the sphere finally noticed her presence and reached out a hand toward her as if inviting her.
Diana reached out her hand almost instinctively, and in an unexpected turn of events, an unknown force lifted her body and carried her up, quickly bringing her in front of the sphere.
When Hippolyta saw this from far away, she was almost scared out of her mind.
She knew her daughter couldn't fly, so it must have been the person inside the sphere who was responsible.
Hippolyta was about to rush over to her daughter because she was worried, but before she could do anything, Diana was suddenly pulled into the sphere.
Hippolyta was shocked to the core, but before she could react further, the sphere in the sky suddenly burst open, turning into a dazzling light that quickly dissipated.
As the light faded, Hippolyta looked back to the beach and nearly had a stroke from the shock.
Her daughter, Diana, was safe and sound.
The Amazons on the ground also began to wake up.
Everything worked out well.
Except for the man who appeared out of nowhere and was holding her precious daughter in his arms.
What's more, he was completely naked!
While Hippolyta was furious, on the beach...
"Do... Do we know each other?"
Diana felt somewhat uncomfortable being so close to a naked man.
She tried to struggle out of his hug but found herself unable to move at all.
Despite the fact that Amazon women were naturally wild and independent, it was still unusual to see them held so tightly.
But Diana found it strange that she did not feel disgusted. Instead, she was surprisingly calm.
It was as if, being held by this man, all her worries would vanish.
Are all men this magical?
Diana, who had never seen a man before, thought these things without realizing it.
