"What?"
Reverse-Flash looked at Jack and could not figure out what he was saying.
What experiment was he talking about?
"You didn't disappear!"
Jack smiled with relief and pointed at Reverse-Flash, explaining,
"According to your theory, Iris and Eddie could never get together, but look at them now! They are together! And you are still alive."
"That just means they haven't ended up together in the end."
Reverse-Flash instantly thought of this point and breathed a sigh of relief.
"No, trust me, they will definitely end up together!"
Jack smiled mysteriously. With him around, Iris could only be with Eddie. He had assured this connection, even stronger than the Edman Alloy!
Just then, another person walked into the coffee shop, and upon seeing the lively scene inside, they froze.
When they saw Eddie and Iris hugging and kissing in the middle of the noise, his expression turned somewhat strange.
"So, what did I miss?"
Joe pushed his way through the crowd and stood next to her daughter because he could not help but interrupt the sweet couple.
As a concerned father, this scene was truly hard for him to watch.
"Dad."
Eddie and Iris snapped out of their happy state and saw that Joe was the one who had stopped them. This made Joe feel better immediately.
Iris looked nervously at her father and pulled her hand with the ring back a bit.
Who was Joe West?
He was a veteran detective for many decades.
How could he not notice his daughter's slight movements?
He immediately figured out what was going on and gave Eddie a cold glare.
"So, you were looking for Iris just for this?"
"No, no, Joe, you misunderstood. Actually, I..."
Eddie quickly tried to explain, but about halfway through, he realized that it was a last-minute decision and Iris probably would not be happy about it.
So, between his wife and his father-in-law, he made a quick decision.
He admitted it straightforwardly,
"Yes, Joe, I proposed to Iris. I hope to receive your blessing here, and I believe Iris feels the same way."
After he said that, Eddie straightened his back and forced himself to look Joe in the eye without being scared.
He had to show strength and make Joe see that his daughter hadn't chosen the wrong person.
Iris stood close to Eddie and looked at her dad with nervousness.
The people around them slowly moved away, leaving only the three of them in the middle.
"Ah~"
Joe stared at Eddie for a long time, thought for a while, and then let out a soft sigh.
"Maybe it's fate. Damn, you two have known each other for less than a year, and you're already getting married."
He looked at his daughter helplessly, as if he thought she was too easy to impress.
"Thank you, Joe... Dad."
Seeing Joe's softened attitude, Eddie breathed a sigh of relief. Then he thought of something and awkwardly blurted out the word.
Joe couldn't help but shudder and quickly stopped Eddie, saying,
"Just call me by my name."
Taking a deep breath, Joe looked at his daughter,
"Barry is waiting for us. We have to go."
Although Iris was confused, she still went to the changing room to change her clothes and request time off.
"What happened, Joe?"
Joe glanced at Eddie and said,
"Well, nothing bad happened. We found evidence that can prove Barry's father is innocent."
Eddie's face showed a sudden realization.
Iris had told him about Barry's parents. His father, Henry Allen, was arrested for allegedly murdering his mother, Nora Allen.
In fact, there were many questions about the case, and he should not have been found guilty.
But the judge had to decide whether or not he was guilty.
The court also did not accept what Henry said because the situations he described were too unbelievable.
They thought he was just trying to excuse himself.
In the end, Henry Allen was sentenced to prison, and Barry was adopted by Joe.
And now, they had finally found evidence that Barry's father was not guilty. As a friend, Eddie was also delighted.
Thinking that his own proposal was successful too, was this a double joy?
"What?!"
Iris, who had just come out of the changing room, was shocked and happy to hear this news.
She was shocked that there was still a chance for this case to turn around and happy that Barry could finally be reunited with his father.
She knew very well how deeply Barry was obsessed with this case.
In fact, he became a crime scene investigator specifically to find evidence to prove his father's innocence.
And now it is finally resolved.
"What's going on, Dad? Can you explain in detail?"
Iris asked excitedly as Joe glanced around and quietly began to explain.
It turned out that they owed it all to their neighbor from years ago.
The next-door neighbor of Barry's family back then was an older man with paranoid delusions.
He always felt that someone was trying to hurt him, so he installed more than a dozen cameras around his house to monitor the surroundings.
Two of the cameras happened to record what was going on in Barry's living room.
As a result, naturally, the events of that night were recorded.
In fact, if this old man had provided the surveillance footage to the police, Henry would have been found not guilty and released.
But here was the problem—the old man was a devout believer.
After watching the video, he firmly believed that the figure with red eyes and a blurry yellow form was the demon Satan.
So, to keep himself and his family safe, he hid the incident deep in his mind.
It wasn't until a few days ago, when the old man passed away, that his children were going through his things and found this surveillance video.
When they found out the truth, they went straight to the police station.
Barry has already given the court evidence, and unless something unexpected happens, his father will be released in a couple of days.
Barry was happy now. He wanted to share his joy with someone, and Joe and Iris were his family.
The trio soon left the coffee shop, and Reverse-Flash couldn't help but look at Jack.
His intuition told him that this matter was related to Jack.
"This is the scene I like to see,"
Jack stirred his coffee, watching the leaving trio with a smile.
"A happy ending, isn't it?"
Is it good?
Reverse-Flash couldn't quite say.
In fact, he could have killed the Flash's parents back then.
He would have done it if it weren't for the concern that it might affect the continuity of time and space.
But he knew very well that it was because of his father that the Flash could become the Flash.
"Let's go,"
Jack put down his empty cup and stood up.
"Let's go to the Star Labs. When Barry comes over, I have an idea that I need his help to confirm something."
"Wait, what idea?"
Seeing Jack walking farther away, Reverse-Flash, who was pretending to be disabled, could only shake his wheelchair and follow.
"You'll find out when the time comes."
Twenty minutes later, at the Star Labs, inside the Time Vault.
Reverse-Flash stood in front of the console and brought up the future newspaper, saying to Jack,
"Look, the future isn't good; It's the same."
Jack approached and looked at the newspaper, which was exactly the same as he remembered.
He shook his head and said, "The future newspaper isn't that great either. Apart from the front page, the rest is just gossip news."
